You must have some stupid friends because my friends don't post meaningless garbage on Facebook lol.
Keep it clean. Respect each other's opinions, otherwise this'll just turn into a flame war.

I've never personally used Facebook, or any social website like that. [Except Skype, but... That's not really a website.]

But I can say with a degree of accuracy, that it's not the 'gun' that kills. It's the person that pulls the trigger. To put it metaphorically. Users like my mum, for example, abuse it completely. Though, saying that, I know no-one that uses the website in a way I'd deem "efficient and correct."

I suppose it depends on who you know/have added on FB. I'm not saying my friends are all geniuses or anything but they aren't exactly filling the "wall" up with useless stuff

use facebook in lectures and disturb everyone with the sound of typing on the keyboard while talking to friends about whatever it is you are doing on facebook?..........

akhmed will only kill you if you facebook during lectures. if akhmed doesnt then i will since you're not a facebook fan and you most likely dont go to the same lectures as me you have nothing to worry about

I'm sorry, hopefully you can forgive me for venting my frustration at you.

Can you blame me for taking offence? I know in the end of the post you said you were talking of friends but please, next time, for people like me who "jump the gun" a bit (and I do apologise for that), you could include that sort of information before you talk of "people". It was very vague until the end.

Once again though, sorry for overreacting.

Take it down a few notches. Keep by the new guidelines of debate. Infractions will be handed out if mini-conflicts like these continue.

People should know that debates are never nice

True. It's not a debate without opposition.

You are absolutely right, Dreaming of Pandora. It was vague and I should have explained myself before I went on ranting. I'm sorry for not doing so.

No need to apologize. I'm just glad this is all cleared up.

I'll try to be more considerate next time.

No hard feelings, friend

It's good. It's the main way I talk to various friends, and I find it VERY important for keeping track of gigs, etc as well as all the people I know but don't see or talk to so often, as well as a good place to get the photos from nights out. I do also play some of the games , and yes, they are addictive, but I don't spend a ridiculous amount of time on facebook and I generally only keep people who I actually know/talk to.

Yeah, they aren't amazing with privacy, but there's an easy solution: Never leave anything at default without AT LEAST checking it first. That goes for ANYTHING, not just for facebook or similar.

I know some people use it for attention or for posting stupid rubbish all the time, but I don't, and neither do my friends... If someone did, I wouldn't tolerate it for very long

Hello its popular for a reason because its something that a lot of people like and think is great.I'm just confused with peoples hatred against facebook because its just a website...who cares if you spend a couple hours on facebook. Its better then going out and robbing a bank rofl. Better than going out and doing drugs or something. We all "waste" time how we do it doesn't really matter. Some people "waste" time playing video games or "waste" time watching tv. So who cares? lol
This is true..

And birthdays.

Don't think I'd congratulate -anyone- if it wasn't for FB reminding me
