use facebook in lectures and disturb everyone with the sound of typing on the keyboard while talking to friends about whatever it is you are doing on facebook?..........

It's good. It's the main way I talk to various friends, and I find it VERY important for keeping track of gigs, etc as well as all the people I know but don't see or talk to so often, as well as a good place to get the photos from nights out. I do also play some of the games
, and yes, they are addictive, but I don't spend a ridiculous amount of time on facebook and I generally only keep people who I actually know/talk to.Yeah, they aren't amazing with privacy, but there's an easy solution: Never leave anything at default without AT LEAST checking it first. That goes for ANYTHING, not just for facebook or similar. I know some people use it for attention or for posting stupid rubbish all the time, but I don't, and neither do my friends... If someone did, I wouldn't tolerate it for very long Quote:
