Default Walking In The Rain...

But no singing.

Has anyone else taken to just letting the rain fall on them? When it's raining outside and I have to go somewhere I have taken to just leaving my coat behind so I can feel the drops falling on my skin. It's a really nice feeling.

Lasty night, I had to walk home from a friend's house at 1am. It was absolutely pouring with rain and I hadn't taken my coat as it was sunny when I left the house. The only thing I had was an iPod with full battery and the clothes I was wearing. The roads were completely silent, as were the houses. It felt like I was the only person awake in the world... I just put on some of my favourite Autonomic tunes and stolled home whilst getting completely soaked. It just felt so incredible, one of the little things in life that are completely free.

(By the way, it's also probably something you could only do in spring/summer in this country. Other times of year are too cold. )

I did walk all down one of the main streets of my city whilst raining, like 3 kilometers under the pouring rain.

And I didn't get a cold though it was January.

I like rain showers in the summer, where you get wet but don't feel the cold. It awakens the senses. I also love watching a good thunder storm (from the safety of my bedroom window, I had a close encounter with lightning once...).

We had a small spot of rain yesterday when it was 80 degrees outside. I walked to get a snack and loved the smell and feel of the cooler water on my skin and shirt. I sent a message to my daughter to let her daughter go out and do a 'summer rain dance'. I did that when I was a kid. My brothers and I would run around like indians until we felt it was getting too wet. That usually didn't happen though, sporadic summer showers aren't very fierce, nor do they last long.
I love the smell of the air after a good rainstorm. Fresh, clean and alive!
(At 1 am yeah, you were most likely the only person awake in your town! hehe)

I love walking in warm rain showers =D But if its too cold out I get sick because I'm anemic and I can't keep myself warm very much.

Yes you can, you can even catch a cold when it's hot weather. There are a few factors in it - the water on you (and more importantly in your clothes) will suck temperature from your body in order to vapour out. The more clothes are wet, the bigger cooldown effect it will have. Also wind makes the liquid water vapour into air more rapidly, so the cooldown gets even bigger. Even when it's really hot outside, the body is balancing out the temperature and adjusting to the surroundings. A quick cooldown of your body can make you catch a cold almost regardless of the outside temperature, the thing is body doesn't have enough time to react and aclimate. This is of course easier when it's cold outside since you're already feeling cold and the body is not catching up, and harder when it's really really hot for the same reason. Just saying you definitely CAN get cold even in a hot summer, for example just by temperature difference in your car (25°C) and outside (40°C).

Anyway I also enjoy doing this, but I got a cold before because of the above stated reasons. lol

Oh yes, love to do this in the summer, and in the winter when it snows, just go out and let the snow fall on you at night. Both experiences are wonderful.

I love when it rains. I just love the mood, the whole feeling I get when it's dark and cloudy outside.

When it rains and I'm outside, I just walk normally, as if it wasn't raining. It doesn't bother me at all. Usually you see people running for cover when it rains, not me. I embrace it.

I've always wanted to do this...

...but typically it'll be raining when I'm going somewhere where dry clothes are expected.

But someday, I will do it [anyway], and it will feel great.
