I did ponder the midnight screening in Brum, but coming out the IMAX at 03:00 with not really anything to do for another 3 hours until I could catch the train home put me off a little. Plus I would be on my own.

Still, you have a great time. You'll have to let us know how many went - or better still get a piccie!

I have checked the listings for the two major IMAX 3D theaters in my area and neither have any listing for Avatar! This is frustrating! (I posted this in another thread because I couldn't find this one).
I know it's going to play here... but they likely won't list tickets being available until the week of the showing. Most are only a week ahead.
Dangit. I've got three people that want to come with me too!

How strange. Especially as the film was not made far from you. Ove here in England it has been advertised about a month in advance!

Ahh, just think. Those people at Fox Distribution will be beavering away getting all the prints ready for dispatch to cinemas around the world!

I've got the same problem. I've been assuming that the IMAX theater near me will have the movie, but I can't tell judging from how far ahead it schedules its screenings. It better...

It seems to me that the only place to find them is at the IMAX.com website, and click on the 'Buy tickets now' link when it shows the big Avatar backdrop.

I found that I could buy tickets that way even though they weren't listed on my particular Imax's site.

Because...they want it to be a surprise? Might find out next week? Maybe your local cinema will know.
