I admit that I haven't been on here in a while too. Its good to see you back Stanley but I strongly suggest that you find some way to move out of the house. Are there any friends of yours that need a roomate?? Perhaps you can do that. Its ironic that a topic about this issue came up on another forum I'm on. The topic was about overbearing and controlling mothers. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this situation. You are not a child anymore, nor should you be treated as one.
However, even though you don't like your job, it would be a good demonstration of maturity to get to work on time. Other than that, I hope that you find a better situation. I had to live with my parents all through my 20's due to the fact that the jobs I was in did not pay enough for me to get an apartment on my own. I admit that it was becoming worse living there. The tensions started to get higher. Now, its better. My mom isn't as bad now although sometimes I am very embarrassed for her to come to my apartment since it can get messy at times and my mom has hawk's eyes and well...she will make some comments or will make disapproving expressions on her face.

![]() Well, admittedly I've been away the last few days, and I see you've already got a lot of support here... Just remember, you'll always have us, I REALLY hope things get better for you... That said, have you considered moving out and finding somewhere of your own? Even if you actually showed your intentions then maybe they'll start giving you more of the respect you deserve if they think you're serious about it... I guess it must be hard for parents to see their children grow up... perhaps you need to help them realise that you aren't someone they can tell what to do any more... Either way, I wish you luck...
