Nice one... 3D animation is something I don't really know anything about.

Thanks.

I changed me and my sister into a Na'vi.

My sister:

And me:

I also changed other pictures, but I decided to show you only fotos, where the copyright belongs to me, anymore.
Even, I'm afraid to breach any rights, if I work with strange pictures.

Ohh, those are beautiful!

It's surely better than anything I could ever accomplish - I salute your Na'vi-transformation skills!

Oh. Thank you very much
I'm very pleased about your comment and that you like the avatarizations
That motivates me =)

The next two pictures don't deal with Avatar but with Inception and Shutter Island. I want to adjust the pictures of the movies ^^

"Shutter Island" (and accordingly Isola del Giglio in Italy. I was there because of a graduation trip)

My Inception gyro. I love it

hey noticed your 3D animation, if thats youre first then you did a very good job!
Like the char also!
Animation is alot harder then people might think. We all see moving things all the time and our brains seem to automatically detect any flaws
Good to practice walkcycles tho, harder then you might think, i still struggle with em.
In the moving animation it seemed to float a bit, did you use IK or FK on the legs?
Would recommend inverse kinematics on the legs.
Also gj on the photoshops, really getting better with each one.

@fierox: Thank you very much =) For the compliment and for the critic.
Yes, it was my first try to work with 3D-modeling and animation. Because of this, I was very happy when I read your comment
Sorry for the stupid question, but I don't know... What do you mean with IK or FK? When I unterstand its meaning, I will follow your tips

@ShellyFayexo: I think, the best elements on this picture are Neytiris eyes

Yesterday, I started to work with Maya again (because of school leaving examination, I did a pause about several weeks/ months)

I know... This Ice-Cream is boring, mingy and very basic, but I think, it's a beginning
The Ice-Cream at the youtube-tutorial looks the same way and because of this, I am happy with my solution.

Hey nice icecream, looks like it melted a little since the last version you showed
Youre right, when you start with 3D the software is somewhat overwhelming with all the menu's and complicated interface. Getting to know the interface and basics tools can be boring even. But if you can bite through that things will get more interesting and soon youre creating stuff!
Good to see you got the component mode working to modify a normal sphere! Thats where the fun part comes in

Thanks! Yes, it melted a little bit... with intent, all with intent xD
You're right... To learn the basics is boring. Currently I'm unmotivated to work with Maya

But I want to show a new picture editing
I hope, you like it

The Copyright of the Original belongs to the fotograph "PSI". Because of this, the picture editing is copyrighted material, also!

Yeah maya can be boring, its hard work aswell. You are pretty far already tho!
Youre new picture looks great, the softness of her face looks great with the big yellow eyes.
My only tip would be to place her ear a bit deeper in if you know what i mean and be carefull you dont smear out too much detail away.
Just details tho, great photoshopping skills! Ever tried painting from scratch?

Yeah copyright is a tricky thing, specially in this digital age. Got both good and bad's to it i guess.

Hmm Yes, you're right. I think details are very, very important and normally, I mind them very strictly, I guess. Stupidly, in this picture they dissapeared a litte. Perhaps because of some lightening- and other effects or something. But I have to say: I like it even so!
No, I never tried painting from scratch.

I worked with Maya again. Tutorials are very helpful, I found out =o))!!
Yes: It is mingy and unspectacular, but better than the Ice-Cream I hope and think

Cocktail-glasses!
