I was reading an article about the re-release of Avatar and noticed something interesting...

Maybe this would be better off in general discussion...............
That said, I hate Titanic, and I'll rage if it does. The movie is really overrated IMO. What is the point in being told a story when you already know how it will end?

I think it's more of the journey through the film than anything else. I haven't seen Titanic since I was around 10 years old, so I'm not sure how well it can stand up against Avatar.

I highly doubt it because it's been out for so long that pretty much everyone has seen it at some point. It also doesn't seem like the addition of 3d would add a whole lot to the movie itself.

Except that 3D makes everything instantly awesome. Twilight should be in 3D.

![]() I thought the movie was pretty good. We all know how World War II ended, didnt stop directors making movies of it. So just because we know how it ends doesn't mean what happens before then isn't worth telling. |

Honestly, who cares?
Seems pretty impossible for Titanic to beat Avatar, considering how long it has been, and how pretty much everyone has seen it by now. But even if it does overtake Avatar, does that make Avatar any less of a movie to anyone? Of course not. And personally, I like Titanic. It's a very good film. I don't love it, but I still like it... kind of my feelings for the Star Wars saga.

Devils Advocate....Although I kinda agree. Still would be more fuel for the Avvy haters though...remember Oscar night? *shivers*

Personally, I don't think Titanic will ever manage to reign #1 at the box office again, though anything is possible.

Well I see this as fuel for Avatar haters to use
"James Cameron is a greedy, corporate monster and he's only putting Titanic in 3D for the money blahblahblah". They won't realise though, that it'll be 100 years since the Titanic's sinking. |

I doubt that many people will bother... People will think 'meh, seen it' - 3D isn't regarded as that amazing, something that bad 3D films are probably not helping with, but that's a good thing for once now
