After I saw Avatar Special Edition, I felt I didn't experence it to the fullest and I might have spoiled it
. I think it was because I was anticpating the deleated scenes so much that I didn't eas up to experence to orignal footage ansd story. I know this becaue after the movie I noticed my PAE wasn't as strong as it was the last couple of times I saw it. The scene I was hopeing for the most was the scene when Max uses the slash cutter to destroy the comand center and Selfrige realizes that he is screwed, and it didn't have it . Now I don't know wether or not to pay $14 to see it again and to try to experence knowing what comes and not spoil it with anticipation. If anyone feels the same or want to post to make me feel better, please do.

This happened to me first time too...
I did go again, and it was so definitely worth it... I could stop anticipating the new scenes and focus on the story again. If anything, the scene at the school makes it even sadder... stupid tawtute

Last two-three times have been like that for me. (Non SE, in cinema,3d).
The only thing I can say is don't be tired or hungry, it'll help, at least a tiny bit.

The pysical stuff wasn't the problem, it was my mental issues. I was anticipating scenes so much that I didn't pay much attention to the oridnal footage and ended up dissapointed for a number of scenes not in the SE.

I'm not implying that alone was the cause of said emptiness, I have felt it myself even after having "prepared" myself properly, I'm just saying that it might get worse if you don't
(These are just some things I've discovered has an effect on myself when watching Avatar, 3d, cinema)

The first time you watch the special edition, the main focus of attention would be on just those new scenes. But as you watch it again everything ties together (new scenes and old) making for a much more profound experience.
So yeah, seeing it again would help

I really enjoyed it personally. I didn't go in with any expectations (though there were scenes I would have liked to see), and since I haven't seen Avatar for so long it just helped me see a little more of the experience. Both major scenes included, the school and Tsu'tey, were great. And throughout the movie, I cried, got those wonderful goosebumps, and so on... Mmm. Good times.
I would say view it once - Just once more - with a totally open mind and heart, and think on the things that originally brought you to this place
