The new upgrade actually looks quite nice.

I agree its somewhat tolerable, kinda reminds me of the simplicity of the original look from back in the day. I still don't go on though, its not as tight nit as here at TOS

Looks pretty bland and doesn't have much of any fan quality to it, IMO.

They need to get rid of that huge advertisment and move the donations down to the bottom, and change the pictures next to the sub-forums to somthing avatar-related...but thats just me

Play Halo: Reach and find out. Aihwa... Noble Six is a she? You mean Noble 2
As to the discussion of avatar-forums, views expressed by members here, as some have mentioned, are their own personal views. That includes those of staff members here; not one of us represents tree-of-souls's "view". Remember, this is a community forum where decisions are made by all. Also, we are not in competition with avatar-forums for a bigger and better userbase. We are what we are; a closer, tight-knit community. What Woodsprite says about this thread being about a change in avatar-forums design is what matters. And, Aihwa, regarding management experience, I think we have done rather well, personally.

This kind of big/little Endian conflict is universal, but has puzzled me since I started thinking about it. I mean, if the closest community in the world to this one outside of ToS would be AF, or Avatar Prime. So why reserve such disdain for people who are that close to your own beliefs? I mean, why not take it out on the board of directors of Kentucky Fried Chicken, or Zoroastrians, or people with goatees, or Disneyworld characters, all of which are further away from us ideologically?
Rhetorical question... every affinity group does the same thing. [The Endian reference is in Gulliver's Travels, btw.] |

...Actually it was "Big-Enders" and "Little-Enders".
![]() But for the record, I'm not against AF as a website. I'm not against its members, or what it represents. All I'm against is its administration and the decisions it makes. That's all. Everything else I'm all open-arms for. That's why I'm still active there. Maybe I don't post there much anymore, but I do check the site everyday. That's one of the reasons why I made this topic: since I'm more or less informed about its situation. |
