Looking for some help and advice on GIFS and SIGNATURES
Kaltxi my clan,
I see so many people here with beautiful and exquisitely made gifs and signatures. I don't like to borrow others or their ideas and would love to make my own. I would like to find programs/software that is free and user friendly since I am a beginner. I have tried using some other "gif makers" and they turned out like crap. Any ideas on the gifs and how to make them? As far as signtures, what do most of you use? Photoshop? Picasa? Also looking for free and user friendly software/programs for signatures. Any help or advice would be tremendously appreciated. Irayo.

I used Photoshop for my siggies. After a bit of trial and error and some advice off the internet, you can make damn good sigs using it. Don't know how to make gifs yet though.

I use Photoshop. When you first get it it may be confusing and seem like kind of a shallow program, but after you figure stuff out and download some new things for it, read some tutorials. You can do anything you want with photoshop.

I use Gimp. Its a free to download program. If you look at the 2 pictures in my signature, I made the first one by putting a Quartich pic on top of 3 different star wars pcs (4 different layers) and then cutting out the windows and then adding the caption at the bottom. The second picture was floating around avatar wiki and I used gimp to resize it to match the first picture.

Yeah definitely get Photoshop, but it is pretty pricey. I've been saving up for what seems like forever to get it =[ But I have no idea about the gifs. I usually find a website who gives away their gifs to the public.

I would use photoshop, with photoshop you can make gifs also, but I still dont know how to do anything with photoshop

I use photoshop for GIFs.
First of all, export the frames to a sequence of still images, you can use a program like virtualdub for this, then put them together in photoshop. How to Create Animated GIFs Using Photoshop CS3 - wikiHow For just editing images, there is photoshop of course. GIMP is a free program which does just about everything photoshop can ( although the interface isn't that nice). Another program I like for simple editing is Photofiltre - it's kind of in the middle on terms of complexity, and has some nice features.

lol no, I'm on my schools yearbook staff, so I borrowed the copy they use and downloaded it onto my cp....could be illegal...but i don't really know...
