Children of Eywa: (Chapter One)
The flood gates of hell had been opened. I could feel the rain as it came down upon me; with each drop I was tormented. I could not remember the last time I had seen his face. Days, Months, Years? I could not remember. The touch of his hand, the texture of his lips. All just bitter memory’s slowly drifting into oblivion, each second seemed like an eternity. How had I gotten here? Was this my fate? Had Eywa forsaken me? What have I become!? I feel cold, freezing cold, what is that sensation? Almost like…water? My eyes flutter open, I hear voices, could that be him? It couldn’t be. I’ve been lost in this abyss for so long, how could he be here? His soft hands, his smooth lips, his warm arms, this had to be him. If I let go will I be pulled into that hell again? I’m never letting go again. I’ve been having these dreams know for a while. Every night I fight through hell just to come back and realize I have to endure the same experience again that night. I couldn’t do this alone, but Rai’uk is here with me. I love him so much, he’s my world. We just recently mated before Eywa and he is the one person I know I can trust with my life. Currently we live in a small tribe that grace helped build, Half Na’vi, Half Skypeople. It turns out there where literally hundreds of Skypeople who didn’t believe in what Quaritch and Selfridge where trying to do. Which eventually lead to a revolt at hell’s gate and since then the Skypeople have been living with us. We don’t always get along, but we do our best, I’ve been studying English since they arrived and I am currently the tribe’s ambassador to the Skypeople, it’s not always the easiest being stuck between two different species who don’t always see eye to eye, but that’s life I guess, Eywa intended for me to be in this situation so I must have some purpose here. “Woah! What are you doing?!” I yelled while dodging a flying fork. “It’s gone! It’s all gone!” Elyannia shouted. “Just calm down okay, I’m sure I can help you find whatever’s missing if you’ll just tell me what you lost” I replied. “The food…It’s all gone” She sighed. “Ok, try and think back, where was it last time you where here?” I asked. “All over the place, All the cabinets where full, Oh god where could it have gone?!” She sobbed. “Just try and relax ok, its only food, Just look outside, we have rows of crops, It’s not the end of the world” I said. “I have nothing to trade; my family and I had only so much to live on until next week’s rations come in.” She gasped in between sobs. “It’s okay, I have plenty back home, just come with me okay?” I asked. “I couldn’t though, you need…” she said before I cut her off. “I’ll be fine, I’ve lived here my entire life I think I’ll be able to find something to eat” I said sarcastically. She laughed and said “Yeah your right, Sorry for almost killing you with that fork back there”. I smiled and said “ Don’t worry, I get so much stuff thrown at me I might as well take up dodging random objects as a hobby.” She laughed and asked “My names Elyannia, What was your name again?” “You can call me Ker’txu.” I said as we entered my home. Somehow I knew that us meeting was no simple interaction. Somewhere buried deep inside me I knew we were destined to meet like this. We would have a much more to do with each other’s lives then anyone could have ever imagined. If only we knew. Last edited by Neytiri.; 09-30-2010 at 02:08 AM. |
