37 more days, if only I could make time go faster.

When I finally get it I may try watching all 3 modes in a single day, vanilla, then SE, then CE, then maybe CE again .

Problem is, on DVD you don't get 8 hours of bonus features; you only get 3.

And also is the limited collectors edition available for the US anytime? Or does anyone know?

I really, really recommend getting a blu-ray player and a 1080p screen of some kind. The difference between DVD and blu-ray is like night and day to me.

I was sent a $40 Amazon.com gift certificate for my birthday... and guess what the fist thing on my list was?? Pre ordering the Avatar CE dvd set which only took $22, then used up the rest on a knitting book and a few trinkets for making jewelry.
Only spent of my own money... $.19.
WOOT!

I got the dvd set for FREE! It will ship on Nov 16 when it is available.... YES!

I ordered one of the Limited Extended Collectors Editions yesterday. It's pretty expensive, but since I am a hardcore Avatar fan, I had to get one.

I'm going to get one of the regular collectors editions as well.

This is the price (literally) we pay for being such hardcore Avatar fans.

So... it was only available for Europe, and now it's available for everyone now??

...Geez, I'm not gonna make it before they're sold-out.

Well technically it is still only being sold in Europe, but there is a site you can order it from that will ship to North America. I completed the order process and everything, chose Canada as the country to ship to, and placed the order. So it does seem they ship to North America. (The list of countries you could choose from was quite long)

If you are deciding whether or not to order one, I wouldn't delay for too long because play.com also had this available for pre-order but has since stopped taking orders.

Here is the link:

I'm gonna hold off a bit and see if they have some kind of special offer for those who live in the US. November 16th is still more than a month away. I can wait.

It applies for both Blu-ray discs and DVDs. Although I saw a high-res picture of this limited set and on the Blu-ray discs, it has this logo: AB, which means it's compatible with North American players.

Region A is North America, so the discs should work here no problem.
