The Scifi Crew?
Why does it happen that almost all the Scifi actors always work on the same shows all the time. Take this personal insight for example:
I watch Stargate alot. The new series is extremely fused with drama and light suspense. That show however has some actors I've never seen before, except for Doctor Rush (Co-starring in 28 days later). Atlantis and SG-1 had a solid crew of people I got to get familiar with for the past 8-9 years. When the shows closed their books, Sanctuary, a new scifi series with Amanda Tapping, has so many extras and co stars playing with that show too. The new team leader in the late seasons of SG-1 came from Firefly/Serenity. -Dr. Keller on SG:Atlantis (late season) from Firefly/Serenity  She played a main role in Firefly, and now in SGA. No doubt she'll be in another sci-fi show. -Adria (Ori-Super lady) on SG-1 (late season) from Firefly/Serenity-Tinman (mini series)-and Sanctuary. She looks incredible similar to the old head doctor of the SGC on SG-1. Perhaps her daughter?  She is seen as an Abnormal in one of the shows in Sanctuary. In Tinman, she was an extra. She played main parts in Serenity. Drop-dead gorgeous! -Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchel (replaced RDA) on SG:1 (late season) from Farscape  I don't know what to say.... this guy is....... not 'equipped' to be a SG cast member. He was a stage performer before he ever got on the tube. He should of stayed there. Now he has his fingers in some shows out there, either as a background guy or a lead. Thing is, the scifi network loves to drag him around on shows. You see him everywhere. The only legitimate person on the scifi network is a Nerdy Sweetheart, Amanda Tapping  From what I've seen, she was on both SGs, Sanctuary, and a short-lived fact show on scifi. She sticked to her character even though the network attempted to throw her around into different 'kinds' of shows. In fact, I think she was an extra in a popular movie, but I can't think of it's name is. Some people have Barney as their childhood hero, Master Chief, or the Three Stooges, I have A.Tapping. (She gets brownie points because her eyes shinned brighter than the North Star on top of a tree. A femme fatale of my youth. They've grown a bit dim with HD cameras now.) /passion speech On topic, all of these actors/actresses seem to run into eachother at some or all the time. SGU and Caprica are taking fresh stage performers so the tide might be changing. The novelty of scifi television seems to have thinned without fresh talent. If it proceeds this way, I fear I will stop watching television altogether :X.

This basically applies to people who watch the Syfy channel, so I don't know how other countries will get this. Kind of a limited audience, I want to talk about it. If nothing solid, how about thoughts.
