Call Of Duty: Black Ops

Is anybody going to be getting this game? I'm definatly getting it on PS3 and maybe after a while, 360. I'm excited for this game.

On another note, this comes out on the same day as Kid Cudi's new album and I'm preordering both. November 9th is going to be a fun night.

I knew this would pop up eventually. I'm not getting my hopes up. After being trashed with MW2, absolutely trashed, I'm not putting any faith in this game till I've played it, seen that there is no UMP45 esque crap, seen that they've tested the game well enough so not in the first week, there won't be hacks/glitches/mods out for the game. If these things exist, the game goes back. Without hesitation. I have Kinect to play with during that time.

I know. Treyarch are the secondary company who put a game out when Infinity Ward (Lol, they're fuxxxked.) is making one. So Activision can shovel out a money maker every single year. Treyarch usually did a better job than IW, 'cept in the case of MW1 and World at War. I hope to see that they do the good thing, and make the game something great. But honestly, at the moment all I can see is how much Black Ops is copying Halo Reach. Credits for customization? Theater mode? Emblems?

I don't know about them copying Halo Reach because that only came out like a month ago, and Black Ops has been finished for months. So I don't see how the people from Treyarch could have known Halo Reach's features that far ahead of it's release.

I think Treyarch will do better than IW this time. I like MW2 but they messed up on a lot of stuff. I don't like how you can be put into a game on the losing team right before the game ends. That can really mess up a person's wins an losses. I hope that changes in Black Ops. And I don't like how they pick a host for every game. I heard on Black Ops, everybody will be hosting themselves.

I am looking forward to Black Ops. I am a huge Call of Duty fan, so naturally I'm getting this game. I already pre-ordered mine and will hopefully be getting it at midnight.

Everyone seems to hate MW2, but I love that game. All people do is complain about MW2 and how it sucks because they get killed one too many times by whatever gun/weapon.

Call of Duty games are amazing. Also, I hope nothing happens to Infinity Ward, it seems they are still in good shape. I want my Modern Warfare 3! Only thing is a bunch of their key employees are now gone. It's very unfortunate that all this had to happen to them.

IW Make Modder Warfail 2.
IW Release MW2.
IW try to partner with EA for the launch of MW3, whilst still under contract with Activision.
Activision find out.
Activision refuse to pay IW royalities for the game (8 million)
IW Sue Activision.
Activison counter-sue for violation of contract.
Trial due in January 2011. I can't wait to see IW go bye bye.

I rarely see people modding in MW2, hardly ever. And if I do I leave the game and file a complaint. The only thing I see quite often is people with different colored gamertags, and when you view their gamercard, their actual gamertag is different than the one you see in game or in the lobby. Also, I don't think IW will "go bye bye" since Activision said that IW is still a very important part of the Call of Duty series. If they do shut down, that will be a sad day for gamers everywhere. Call of Duty is their creation and to see them go will be very sad. Especially for all their true fans that love them.

I don't know why people hate the UMP45. It's amazing, and if you know how to use it you will dominate with it. WaW had a similar weapon that many considered overpowered, the MP40, and if you knew how to use it then you would dominate with it as well.

MW2 had potential I must admit. It had a lot going for it with visuals and gameplay, but to be honest the multiplayer experience really favored the casual online annoying player...aka the camper...aka the person that everyone hates. The big bugs it had when it first came out had me going crazy...especially the care package glitch. Also, that fact that most of the people on the game are 10'th prestige/all title and emblem hackers makes me feel like the multiplayer game aspect is corrupt. Nothing is really legit in Modern Warfare 2...

Why did CoD 4 not have these problems at all?

Maybe because it was a simpler, purer experience...

I never see hackers on PS3, and I don't recall seeing any on 360. I have seen the colored username thing though.

Same with me. The Wager Match thing looks crazy. Some of the different matches look intense, like the game where you only have 1 bullet.

I played MW2 also and found it a little disappointing in some aspects. Single player was amazing but the multiplayer was rather lacking. I am more of a battlefield fan (bad company 2 especially) because of the multiplayer experience. After black ops is released I will be listening to what everyone else says first before deciding to buy it.
