Go for it!
![]() And I don't think its choice. I mean, I don't choose to be attracted to girls. And I don't think I could choose to be attracted to a boy. I think the only choice here is if you're willing to be honest with yourself.

Yes it can be a choice ;] my sister was dating this boy for over 6 years and he cheated on her and it was so traumatic that now she only dates women.

No, no brain "disfunction".
Just a choice....But I don't know where people get how it's "genetic". I've read some of the craziest articles that make me wish I had three hands, just so I could triple-face-palm myself.

I wouldn't say it's genetic if that's how they want to live their lives.

No.
Somebody likes the same gender, so there's a problem with their brain???? That doesn't make very much.

It's just the way it was spelled, and how it comes off the tongue when said. The correct spelling is "scientifically".Quote:

Come to think of it, this thread is rather offensive, with respect to the OP. I mean, if you were gay, how would you feel if all your friends started a debate whether you were "dysfunctional", or a "mistake in nature" etc. Just my opinion. I like discussions, but this one's on a fine line between talking about the science, and being offensive.

Did you even read my post?
I have actually spoken to gays before and they usually say it was a choice. They arent offended by it. And if they read most of the posts Id think they would be pleased.

I guess I'm just having second thoughts after seeing the thread title again. "Is being gay a brain dysfunction?" My initial reaction gave me a sense of hate or superiority - but after reading the posts, that obviously wasn't the case. I like what some people have said for sure. But I'm not the only one who looked at the thread title and had a moment. Mainly, this is just a reaction to the title, not the posts. Plus, I want to pause for a moment, and make sure this wasn't offending someone. I mean, we are debating whether Gay's brains are "dysfunctional"...
