Then what's the sense in living if you are going to lose everything you achieved ,your memory , your people ,everything ?

Everything you ever "owned" or "created" is someday going to fall to dust , the house you built with your own hands , thoughts and ideas you came up with will be scattered into nothingness , values , moral or materialistic ones , it all doesn't seem to matter anything on the long scale , everything is evanescent , someday even the last people will have forgotten about you , your ideas , your creations and someday even those will be gone for good .

I for my part wouldn't prefer any of both over the other , neither mortality nor immortality .

Let's say if you were immortal and you floated across the universes , throughout space , studying life , or mere existance , you would find out that life is nothing else than masses crashing into each other , creating planets that will fall into themselves after they've used up their fuel , it seems like an endless cycle of repetition and repetition , it will never end , it's like having a box of sand that is shaken over and over again ,and everytime it's being shaken the sand crystals will be torn apart and will be fused together to clots , over and over again .

I would take immortality but only on the condition that I could choose to let it go whenever I want. As long as there is something to work towards, some truth left to still be understood, some goal to achieve I would continue to live. Beyond that, life becomes meaningless and at that point, I would decide that my time has come.

I feel as if I could live on Pandora forever as long as I have obligations to fulfill.

We are being realistic here. I'm talking about biological immortality. I'm quite happy to write off total immortality because litterally living to the ends of the universe itself would drive anyone insane.

I still DO NOT WANT biological immortality. Outliving everyone you loved would be depressing... Eventually seeing civilisation end, humanity go extinct... I wouldn't want that.

That's fine, it's a choice thing. Biological immortality is for those that want to 'observe' just a little bit more than the rest, to manouvre the puppet strings of the world for one last time.

Immortality.. i would instantly say yes. I would just lay back and see how things are turning out, somehow it would be interesting to see all things change and one is the only real stability then in the universe.

Perhaps i would roam around and explore everything, but even as immortal i think i would be damn lazy and just laying aruond, eating, listening to the different music time will bring and just watch bored everything else

Each successive generation would add continual growth unless it was restricted. If we became immortal, are we denying future generations the right to live? Is immortality immoral as a result?

This is something I seek the answer to.
- Immortality exists, but not in this life.
-There is No chance of humans becoming immortal on Earth. Medical technology will never get there.

Such a cynic.

Your life is what you make it and it starts with a positive attitude and a willingness to discover the unknown.

Nobody lives forever. In the end, entropy will see to that, even to the entire universe. When everything has exactly the same energy, no reactions or transfers of energy will occur.

Yes, that's right. If you manage to live that long though I would call that forever.

Everybody lives forever. Either they will spend their Eternity in Heaven or they will spend it in Hell.
