The westboro church of hate is coming to my town.
So a graduate from my high school was killed a few weeks ago in afghanistan His services are this saturday and the Westboro baptist church is apparently coming to protest. *pauses to load 12 guage*. And this is very upsetting to me. What do you guys think of this? I have a feeling this particular town wont take it to kindly.

I like a lot of what Tsyal Makto and Grif said, another idea of mine is getting a leaf blower and operating it right next to them, any loud landscaping tool will do really.

I'm with Grif on this one. Don't forget a witty counterprotest sign, too.
Maybe you can organize a few others to counterprotest, too. I hear in some towns bikers will cluster around them and rev their engines to drown out their hate speech. And if they give you any crap about going to hell, I find something along the lines of "It's your hell, you burn in it" works pretty well when dealing with crazies.

Protest against them. Get as any people as you can. Try and block them out, bring bigger signs and block theirs.

Oh gosh not them again! I can't stand the Westboro Church D:< Last year they protested outside of my High School holding signs saying Gays aren't people and that talking dogs are a sin. Fortunately my school handled it in a very mature way.
About 100 people all dressed up in "hippie wear" (including me  ) and we formed a huge line in front of them with our own signs saying like peace and love and such
