Ok, well how about this. If you have the time, would it help if you were able to do it on Saturday morning when it is light and then send it through?

If you are unable to, then a night shot would make an interesting contrast. If you are able to light the background as well as yourself it would look brilliant. The important thing is that the sound is good. Oh, and if you could forward through the English translation of the Na'vi I can add it as subtitles.

Same goes for anyone else who would like to say their 'Irayo' to James Cameron in Na'vi. Any more Na'vi speakers out there who would like to take part?

Alan

Oh, Saturday morning. Will see, but I'll still try to get something done already on Thursday just in case. I have no studio, but I'm sure the light is not that bad under some lamp post Will provide the English translation.

Though I am a little concerned, it's been quite storm here, so I think not much will be understood of the audio. I think I will have to "dub" it at home, for clarity you know. Hopefully it won't come out too "artificial".

Hey, no worries. We have dubbed before on 'Our Only Home' and you can't tell. If you need to dub, point the video camera at the screen showing the original footage and then speak over the camera's mic, not into it, whilst recording. It works a treat. Let me know if you have any problems and I'll see if I can be of any help.

For those who have already taken part a big Irayo for helping get this project off the ground.
Thanks for the link to the initial footage, Alan -- it looks really great! I SO wish I could've contributed too. But it's wonderful to watch everyone else's scenes -- good job, People!

Kaltxi Folks,

We've had a few more contributions to the irayo video to James Cameron for giving us Avatar.

If you would like to take part, please feel free. It doesn't take long to say between 10 and 30 seconds of what Avatar means to you. Upload your footage via Home.

I really need your footage in by Friday, Saturday at the very latest. Below is the second very rough edit of the video. It will be more polished:

YouTube - Irayo Video Test Edit 2.mp4

Kiyevame,

Alan

Awww, that's a shame. Never mind, my friend. Irayo for showing interest. Hopefully you will be able to contribute to future community project with your Na'vi language skills. Stay in touch though.

Alan

Well, funny you should ask, my friend, because I'm working on it right now..besides coughing my head off with this pesky sore throat - meh-*cough, cough, splutter, splutter*.

So if anyone else would like to join the rest of us in getting your Irayo clip to me, there is still time....just! Send 'em via www.thetaylorssite.f2s.com

Kaltxi my friends,

Well it is finally complete. The 'Irayo Video' for James Cameron has had the final tweaks and is copied below for everyone to view. A massive IRAYO to everyone to spent the time and effort in sharing what Avatar meants to them. Just click on the link below to view it:

YouTube - Avatar Irayo Video to James Cameron.mp4

Just so you know I've sent a copy to Lightstorm Entertainment. They probably won't receive it before the 18th December, but hopefully before Chritsmas. Besides, they are probably too busy having 1 year anniversay parties! Ha, ha, ha! It would be nice if we heard from them, but I kinda doubt it....

Eywa ngahu,

Alan
