That IS just wrong.
![]() But anyway... Tron. Never seen it myself, kinda wanted to at one point, simply due to Daft Punk doing the OST, for all I cared I was going to go and see it and only listen to the music. But to be honest, as the OST was a let down (A friend had downloaded it so we listened to it at his house) I really have no reason to watch. Don't get me wrong, the original Tron was awesome, I still love it, but I somehow feel this may be a failure to try and do again what they were doing back then... almost 30 years ago.

Surprisingly, when I watched the original (after Legacy) it wasn't much of a copy. It was really just continuing the story from the first film, and apparently they tried their absolute hardest to stay true to the first film. There was really no difference between the original and the remake except the story and the effects.

I don't really like the soundtrack much
![]() I liked Tron, but it may be good, but it's not a truly epic film. I still haven't seen Tron Legacy... I will probably get around to it, but not in the cinema.

Seriously dude?? You were the one who started the whole Tron Legacy thread; I remember you being so psyched about it!
You posted the trailer up and everything.

![]() I'm sure it will be average to good, I just have neither the time nor money to see it in the cinema, and that doesn't change that fact that I am simply not such a big fan of the soundtrack, which you'd think from some people's comments is the best thing about it in their opinion

I've found two major problems with those folks:
First: Quote:

). Those guys consider themselves as geeks, but I doubt they are the kind of geeks that know how stuff works (no pun intended). Possibly the kind of geek that likes new stuff like iPads, iPhones and those trendy things. Tron looks great (though, it's an overhauled version of the first Tron) but that's it. Unfortunately for them, Tron won't have much appeal, for the first Tron, computers were something unknown for most people and, in many ways, something dark. Nowadays, almost everyone has had contact with a computer and a have a very basic understanding of how computer works. Another thing, the real geeks will often regard Tron as just a fantasy genre movie with no real plausibility (just ask a software engineer). Having exposed those points, Disney targeted the movie to... who??? Certainly it's eyecandy, but the whole plot isn't broad appealing.

It was shiny.
That's really everything positive I can say about it. I like shiny stuff...
