That is awesome. It looks very cool. I'm sure even those who don't get the reference will like it.

I don't mean to be discouraging, but it doesn't look like it's really "torn". Looks more like jagged patches of Na'vi skin started popping up on your arm. If you were to go back, maybe you could ask that the "torn" edge parts be shadowed-looking...? I mean, there's a way for it to look artistically genuine, but it doesn't look that way to me. Shadowing the torn edges would make it look properly torn.

My two cents. Other than that, looks pretty good. I'm just saying, it could be touched up a bit more.

Maybe in the future - I need to see how it heals first, and so far everyone else has got the idea (including AFK), so I think it does look as intended.

I agree with Woodsprite, shadowing would be a great way to finish it off. Worked well on the superman one.

Kick-ass ink! I'll have to post some of mine soon. I'll be getting the coloring done shortly.

Hey HNM,
I really like your tattoo and especially the idea behind it, already saw the pictures of it in LearnNa'vi community some months ago. I envy you for this tattoo, hehe
Though I think, tbh, that it could have been executed a bit better than this, especially regarding shadow/shading (so it looks more like your Human skin is really ripped off/open and the Na'vi skin lays underneath) and "darker"blue outlines around the markings ("pil").
But anyway, really nice piece of art.

Perhaps on the other arm I will, it's like any art I guess, it evolves over time .
