Default Hanny's Voorwerp
One of the strangest objects ever found in space. Discovered by Dutch schoolteacher Hanny van Arkel as she was taking part in a public outreach project by ESA to let non-professionals classify galaxies, called the Galaxy Zoo Project. She posted to their forum asking astronomers for an explanation of the strange object. No one at the time could form a reasonable explanation so astronomers ordered observing time on the Hubble and the team have released the sharpest image yet of the object, named Hanny's Voorwerp (Dutch for 'Hanny's Object').
