Yes, great work on the chart, Aketuan -- Irayo for the update!

So...what's the consensus? Should we plan on getting the exhibit tickets at the end of this month, or sometime in April?

Great work. Small correction - I planned to be there for the whole time
I didn't know Raiden wasn't going to be there for first and last days, so I guess I'll look into booking a room for those days now, or maybe tomorrow.
I'm just looking into the flight at the moment so can give you definite details when that's done

Irayo, although the idea for the chart was Alan's, I just plugged in the information.

Well...as I understand it, here is what we know:
1. 9 people or more create a discount
2. Tickets won't sell out, it has never happened.
3. We can buy them online or when we arrive.
4. There Is a student discount.
5. There is a ticket included with the citypass.

So that being said we also need to consider that this is the reason for going to Seattle, and it would be bad if we didn't get in for a reason...

I think since there are now nine people for sure going, we should have 1 person order the tickets sometime in the next month, and hopefully we can pick them up and pay for them in Seattle. If not we could all pay the person that bought them, in Seattle or over paypal.

I say end of March, buy them. If others join us after that it won't be too hard to get a single ticket.

I thought most people were leaving on the 6th?

If everyone is staying until the 7th, count me in for that too.

I'll see if I can alter my reservation tomorrow.

EDIT: I call the hotel tomorrow and see about altering my reservation to be for the 2nd to the 7th instead of the 3rd to the 6th.

Well, as I understand it, the main days are Saturday and Sunday when most people will be there.

After that, Monday is the next big day, followed by Friday.

Most people are either leaving Monday afternoon or Tuesday sometime. Most of the groups activities will be Saturday, Sunday. Maybe a few on Friday and Monday.

I arrive at 6:00 pm on Friday and will likely miss some things going on that day, however I am not leaving till Tuesday night, so I have the extra Monday and Tuesday...

Basically, we haven't developed a full itinerary yet so nothing is set in stone, but hopefully we will have that in a month or two...

But, the longer you can stay the better!

I agree with Aketuan about the exhibit tickets.

As for the restaurant info, everybody is very welcome. Since I spend most of my time on Typepad, I'll ask some of the people from there that are going where they would like to go for a big clan meal and I'll post it here as soon as I can.

Irayo Aketuan for keeping a watching brief on the Seattle meet up.

You know this really is one great clan effort with everyone looking into various aspects to make this a success for everyone. This is great!

Any I've been looking into the possibility of having a meal in the Space Needle. There are two restaurants. One right up at the top, which is limited to 20 people. The is also a bit of a dress code thing and because the restaurant is high up so are the prices In the region of $35-$40, not including the tips and stuff.

However, there is a lower restaurant, only....only(!) 100 ft up in the air! I asked if it was available on the 4th June, but they apprently are already booked up there. So I've asked if there is anything available on 5th or 6th June. I haven't heard anything yet or what the cost will be. But I'll let folks know as soon as I hear anything.

If this does not turn out fruitful, then perhaps there might be other venues. I'm not sure if the Pacific Science Center, where the IMAX is, does catering. I'll have to look into that.

We'll also have to check up on the IMAX there to see if they will show Avatar on the Saturday night. Feel free to contact them to ask for it to be put on. The more of us email them, the moore likely they might actually show it. Wouldn't it just be wonderful to watch it all together as one clan.

Alan

Alan

I personally think that the Space Needle is going to be a bit much for some people. I was on Typepad and a few of us were leaning toward Palisade for a clan meal. It's on Elliott Bay and with its view you can see from downtown Seattle to the mountains. It has a huge indoor salt water pond that goes throughout the restaurant. It can be pricey, but their selection does start at a lower price than the Space Needle. We would have to take a taxi there, but we could always check to see what the fare might cost before making any plans. I will call and check on whether or not they have any avaliability on June 4th.

What places would you guys like to go to for the clan meal?

Kaltxi Fiyerwall,

Yeah, I think you might be right, but hey it was worth a try... I haven't heard anything back from the Space Needle...yet. Maybe we could take a packed lunch up to the top? He, he, he.

Like the sound of the Palisade. Perhaps a bus might be more appropriate! I guess once we get closer the date we'll be able to firm up numbers and start enquiring what places will be able to accommodate us.

By the way how many of you are coming from Typepad? Let Aketuan know (and also what days) so he came update his list clan list.

As for what place people would like to go for meals, maybe an additional question would be what type of food do people prefer? Ahh, but don't worry. I'm going to put a short questionnaire together for folks to fill in. I'll keep folks posted...

Kiyevame,

Alan

So many great people I know by electronic means only and have never met in person. Wish I could be there

I'm fine for a clan meal whereever, although I guess the Space Needle would be out then - I doubt I could ever pass a 'dress code' hrh , not to mention the price.

I can join in asking for Avatar if I know where to ask
