Default So you think Avatar has left the building...errr...cinema?

Well you would be wrong! I just happened to be looking up what was showing at the IMAX in Birmingham (UK) recently and, blow me over with a thanator f*rt, Avatar SE is still on the fixture list.

It is showing on the 2nd and 5th Feb! Check it out:

http://www.imax.ac/page.asp?section=...tle=Film+Times

Who is up for the Saturday showing?

Really? Wow, I am surprised. That is where is was filmed wasn't it? I would have thought they would have kept it going there. Sorry to hear that.

I'll be meeting up with Solarwind hopefully to watch it.

Yeah, having an IMAX screen in my house would be nice.

Anyway, wish I could join you in Birmingham, Alan. Have fun at the IMAX!

Yeah. Wish you could be here too. I'm meeting up with Solarwind to watch it, so at least I won't be "jonny-no-mates".

@ Apollo - Maybe we should fix up a webcam in the IMAX and beam it out via an iPhone for something! Maybe not.. He, he, he.

@tallbluewanderer - Perhaps set your own cinema up "The Na'vi Cinema - home of the original tall story..." Sorry, that's my British humour coming out.

@Muddeprived - A savings account called Pandora? Wow. Mind you have have a shop chain over here called Pandora and I've also seen two shops called Avatar. One was a perfume shop the other a Thai restaurant!

@Helicordian - Don't worry mate. Before the start of Avatar I shall pause for a moment and tsahaylu with Eywa and remember how this amazing film has brought so many people together from around the world.

@ Empty Glass - Me thinks I hear the rumblings of a new thread being started called "How big is your TV in California?" Of course you could do a survey...

...ooo, by the way did I mention that we were doing a survey to see the level of interest in a mass meet-up or convention? See the link below in my sig..

Toodle pip,

Alan

You might've mentioned it a few times. Don't worry, I filled it out as soon as it was available! And maybe I will have to make one myself regarding TV screens...

Oh good. Just checking. Don't want anyone to feel left out you know We're at 74 so far. It'd be great if we could make it to 100!

Californian #3 and I'd also be down for seeing it again in IMAX 3D, 'cause I'm not gonna be able to wait until 2014!

Three of you in California! I think that constitutes a Meet Up! Maybe find out who's got the biggest TV and make your own cinema! Better still Video projector - YEAH! Sorry I'm not helping much, am I?

That's a good idea, Elyannia. Never thought of that.

Alas, none of the small theatres here are playing it. I'll probably have to wait a year or two...

Haha, no worries Alan! And hey, a meetup - I'd be down for that, and I know there's a few more of us in California anyways. But I'll be the first to say that my TV isn't big enough!

I haven't tried checking out the smaller theaters yet. They usually play movies that are like 1-3 years old XD
