Wow, it's still playing. For some reason that does not surprise me.

This is another reason and motivation for me to get that 3D tv so I can watch it in 3D like you still can. I opened a savings account called "Pandora" to fund this Panasonic 3D tv setup. Fitting, ain't it?

I'm hoping whenever there's a long gap between new releases or a drop in attendance the Imax near me will bring it back for a few showings.

Enjoy it for those of us who can't, Alan (in theater anyways )

Connect the Imax to your xbox live, we can all have an 'audience' viewing.

Jesus do I miss seeing this in the cinema.

Lucky...
It's a bit too far for me to go

I think the reason why is that IMAX was generally not making a profit until Avatar came along. Whenever there is a slow time, they are going to put Avatar on (especially with the newer, digital IMAXes where it is a lot easier to keep films on hand), as if it's still on then it can still fill cinemas

And Solarwind and I are going to be helping to fill it!!

I think the IMAX in Birmingham probably does fairly well as it is part of the university and gets a lot of school part trade showing 3D enducational films.

When I spoke to the IMAX lady, she said they were looking at digital projection, but they still felt that the film projection that currently have is like the 'Rolls-Royce' of cinema.

Can't remember if I posted these, but here are a couple of pictures from the projection room to show folks how enormous the IMAX projection system is. There is also a picture of the two AVATAR reels - that only just fit on the platters!

You know you have a good movie on your hands when it requires a forklift to move the reel. LOL

Well I've just got back from the IMAX having watched Avatar with Solarwind. Nearly didn't get to see it as they were fixing some dust wiper thingy on the projector! There was probably about 30 - 40 in the cinema.

Avatar was as good as ever. We thought about you guys before we got lost on Pandora again. Poor old Tsu'tey. Gets me every time, and yes we were the last out...again!

Glad to hear you and Solarwind enjoyed your IMAX viewing (and wow -- 30 to 40 people there -- nice!)
Again, wish I could've joined you there! Maybe one day....

Yeah too right! Hey, HNM, when we left it was that guy who took a photo of us all together when we had the meet up there. He smiled at us and said hello as if to say "Oh, you again!" HAHAHA!

Awww, your so lucky!

Seeing Avatar on the big screen again would probably bring back a lot of memories! Weird feeling to think that you had to work so hard to get tickets because it was always sold out like 2 months ahead!

To everyone who still has the chance to see Avatar at IMAX or cinema what so ever: Enjoy it!

I feel really fortunate to have been able to have seen it again. the IMAX in Birmingham has quite a special meaning for me really and it is so great they are still showing it through February! If anyone here is from that way, do go see it!
