I think the feather and hair movements are pretty realistic. Nice job so far. I only think that the only problem there is Jake's eyes, it doesn't look like they are focusing on one spot. Though that might just be me.

i think it looks great but i see that Jake looks as tall as Neytiri, maybe it's just the angle (i can see he is a bit further back than Neytiri) but is he taller than her? i know he should be by a bit. anyway it looks good. IMO if you can't get the movements of the hair, feathers etc. right then it doesn't matter because the models are superb and it outweighs any minor inaccuracies in their movements. keep up the awesome work

Jake's face has looked kind of wonky the whole time, but I know faces are hard to get, and they absolutely look like perfect na'vi in every other way, and Neytiri is stunning every time

Thx all,
yes Jake's quite a bit taller then Neytiri, its the angle i think.
About Jake's face, well a big smile seems to go ok, but the lineair transition from base to big smile is not going well. Because of that a little smirk doesnt look so good.
Started on fixing that, trying to find some pictures i that i can use as reference otherwise im copying my own face too much.
Already fixed some other small things like the feathers i mentioned earlier and took the time to tweak the skin shader a little more. Render times trippled but its still doable (i hope) and im really happy how it turned out.

i see you've even got the texture of the skin exactly like it is in the film (with the grainy texture) O_O outstanding.

As tm20 said, the skin texture is really good The reflection is perfect but the one thing that bugs me are still her eyes. Giving them some kind of liquid look, more reflection or more transparency would probably help the visuals

Edit: ok nvm the reflection part, I see that there is reflection

I wasnt completely happy with the eyes and some other things aswell.
The improved render settings actually made the eyes and some other things uglier instead of better. Tweaked the properties of those again but havent made a new render yet.
Because before weekend the models of Ney and Jake must be 100% done (my deadline). Then its just animation and scenery!

Last thing i wanted to add is a better way to control the facial animation (so no things have to be opened in the program and all is in one place).
This is how the emotes, eyes, etc are edited now, goal is to make animating her as simple and fast as possible.
Below is the window i made, i just have to key those sliders (they can also appear next to the model's face).
See anything missing? Let me know

That's a lot of options... I've already seen it makes for great detail though

This is the first time I've seen this and.........wow. Just wow!

I've just been through the entire thread and watched in awe as she gradually came to life over the weeks that followed!

Breathtaking stuff! What a talent, you've certainly found your calling in life.
