I see you all, and I feel the same way. I love the extended version, but it doesn't mean anything to me when compared with the original DVD version. It's indescribable really, that was where it all started, that was the version I saw first and thus it will always be my favourite. May 4th will be 1 year since I sat down to watch it for the first time - a night that changed me forever. Memories and feelings that the CE, although I love it will never be able to replace.

I have the original Avatar box in my hands now, just holding it brings back memories -'tis my most treasured possession

The original version is still, and will always be, my favorite.

Well for me, the original version definitely has the best feelings associated with it, just because it is what I first saw, however I believe that the SE was the best in terms of a movie, in that it added a lot of scenes that I really like. The CE was great to see and added some unique stuff, but it didn't have the same feeling as the original/SE. About the deleted scenes, I think some of them would have really been nice to have in the movie, but none of them were really good.

I actually prefer the SE overall (although ideally, I would have the CE with the original opening), but the original version has a lot of emotional significance.
