I have a good friend who has been waiting for a very, very, very, very (you get the idea) long time to receive his Neytiri bust. I hope he has received a notice about his order. Gentle Giant has done an amazing job with Neytiri ... she looks just as she does in the film.

Wow, I just noticed Neytiri is holding back the string with only one finger What a badass.

Nice statuette, though I don't like that her tail has no hair on its tip.
Plus I never saw Neytiri or any other Na'vi shoot an arrow like this (they always used the first two fingers for stretching the bow string)...

There's another statuette of Neytiri which I like more than this one, but I can't afford it :/ Too bad. Though it also has no hair on Neytiris tail-tip:

This. I was hoping that tail will be improved, as in the statue from the Sideshow, nonetheless figure looks nice. I'm waiting for courier.

I think that's necessary... it would be hard to model the hair there so it would look good

No, nice to know it does that though

I disagree, becaue they also modeled the hair on her head - and the hair on the tail-tip wouldn't have had to be very detailed, I think it just had to exist.

I mean... Anime statuettes for example. Their hair isn't very detailed either, but it's there.

Tailtiphair would have made it perfect. :/

I too received my Neytiri mini-bust this past week (finally, after months of waiting -- I had ordered it back in May 2011!), and I love it -- she's beautiful! Though I too wish they had sculpted the hair tuft on the end of her tail.
And BTW, she is using two fingers to pull back the bow string -- look closer and you'll see.

HNM, you can use the small flashlight/torch that came with the bust to shine on her which reveals her biolume markings.

She only has three fingers, and two of them are gripping the arrow.

Three if you don't count the thumb as one (the endless dilemma over whether humans have four or five ).

if you are interested I did a video review of the Gentle Giant Avatar Busts (Neytiri, tsu'tey). You can watch it here:

Gentle Giant AVATAR mini-Bust (Tsu'tey, Neytiri) - YouTube

And here is my modded Sideshow collectables statue

While they are nice...something about the colors just seems off. They just looked very washed out/bright.

I still want a good Ikran statue!
