Although the star wars universe is only marginally epic and huge in the films, you really get into the awesome stuff when you read about the history and numerous different planets, cultures, and races.

I really like the cities in Star Wars, really amazing and inspiring though, but it would be too much for me already living in a metropolis. I wouldn't be able to see or live in another one, bigger this time. But I would like it because it's my favorite Sci-Fi city after Metropolis. Oh, I hate myself when getting in contradictions...
Of course, Pandora for first. I'd very much love to experience a real natural life, getting independent of technologies and daily monotoneus life, learning to find my spirit inside a proper environment.

I look at this thread, and I wonder...
What has happened to ToS? It's something I barely recognise any more ![]() I think of the days when we were all united by our longing for home, and I look at threads like this and I cry. Have people really forgotten what Avatar means to them? This shouldn't have ever been a question. There's a reason this forum is about Avatar, not whatever thing there is in star wars. If you really prefer star wars, then I don't see why you're on an AVATAR forum. This reminds me of a certain ex-moderator, who liked another sci-fi TV series.

Just because people love Avatar, it doesn't mean they cannot love anything else. I love Avatar. I love Star Wars. They are hardly exclusive.
And really - the magic of Avatar is not gone, and people have not forgot what it means to them - rather, Avatar has become such a natural part of our lives that our love for it goes past the movie itself - and this is a good thing. Compare it to a traditional 'relationship' - the first years or months the two partners are up over their ears in love with each other, with a huge amount of passion, love, and lust. After this time, the more visible and direct love gets weaker, and a more reliable, trusting and long-term of love grows forth. It's the same thing, I think, with many here concerning Avatar. It has not lost its magic, we have not lost our interest in it - it's the plain opposite, it's just not visible. Avatar affects our lives in ways far beyond the actual movie, content or world - it is so much deeper than that, and not always obvious.

Eltu you speak the truth ma Tsmukan. We all have likings for other things except for Avatar, that's why we are such a diverse family, which is a good thing in the long run. Avatar will always be part of our lives and it has changed many of us but you can be secure enough in your love to be able to look at other things in the meantime..It doesn't mean that Avatar is forgotten.
To get back on topic. I would easily say Pandora..Big urban metropolis's don't intrigue me at all. I would of thought that Naboo would of been a better pick.

With your analogy, I don't know of any relationship where that is then an excuse to start saying that other people are better. Anyway, to be completely honest, going off someone is in part created by the need to sell people things. I love Avatar, and I've watched Star Wars and while it wasn't all that impressive, it was an average distraction for a few hours, before I even watched Avatar, but I'm fairly sure that if I went onto a Star Wars forum and asked them if Pandora was better, I'd get trolled and/or banned.
I've never seen Coruscant (well, I probably did, but I didn't know what it was as I've only watched all the films once), but that description basically makes it sound the same as Earth in Avatar. Do you need to watch Avatar again? ![]() ![]() "There's no green there, they killed their mother, and they're going to do the same here." Think about that.

The anology was concerning people "losing their love for Avatar" and had nothing to do with the Star Wars comparison.
![]() HumanNoMore - you talk as if you hold the truth to what everyone should think of Avatar and how they should interpret it. Different people sees it in different ways, enjoys different aspects of it, sees different messages. Think about that for a moment.

Nah, this is offtopic enough already.
Let's keep the above conversation to this thread: http://www.tree-of-souls.com/communi...tml#post135227 And let this thread remain on topic.

Man, see, I'd love to live on Naboo. You have that lovely mix of urban and nature, PLUS the main city looks like it should belong on Dinotopia - it's just beautiful.

YES!! Just what I was thinking like with the lush plains and rivers. They have the best mix of human settlement and nature in Star Wars..Kinda like Rivendell in LOTR.
