Fictional worlds I would like to live on:

Pandora- as an Avatar driver who decides that he new sliveiu hapxė Naviyä nėngay.

Real worlds I would like to live on:

Mars. I would really like to be a mid-21st century Martian frontiersman. I think there may well be people alive today (probably <5 years old) who will get to do this!

Coruscant, I would love to live in a mega-city with thousands of different species. Plus there is the hot Twi'lik girls.

Anyway, Coruscant does have a natural area, there is the Manarai mountain range, the western sea, plus you can't forget the botanical skydome.

Quote:
The Manarai Mountains were two twin mountains peaks, one of the few places on Coruscant that remained free of skyscrapers and cities. They were located near Orowood and the famous Imperial Palace, and were east of the Western Sea. Many floating restaurants revolved around the Mountains, giving patrons a unique view of the natural wonders.

The Manarai Mountains included the tallest peak, Umate; the restaurant Manarai; the Monument Plaza; and were home to the Flames of Umate cult. It was beneath the Manarai where Lusankya was hidden. Luke Skywalker had built a private retreat on the mountains shortly after establishing his Jedi Academy.

During the Yuuzhan Vong assault on Coruscant, the Manarai Mountains were destroyed.

Naboo lived on - it was occupied by Imperial forces for a brief moment but then liberated through local uprisings and would eventually become a part of the New Republic.

Come to think of it, Kashyyyk is a lot like pandora, except replace Na'vi with wookiees.

Indeed - especially considering both the flora and fauna of Kashyyk is much larger than on Earth. Heck, even the Wookies show some similarities (tall, native lifestyle...)

Although this doesn't pertain to the Coruscant vs. Pandora debate, while we're talking about messages from Star Wars, I'd like to bring up the message of the inner self-awareness and purpose throughout the series. It's a message prevalent in Avatar too, and shouldn't be overlooked. Use the force!!

Pandora > Corisant
I used to be a city boy growing up but after seeing the CE opening and BladeRunner, it's ether the suburbs or the country for me.

Just like I choose Umoja(A savanna/grassland world) over Kohal(A dense upban area on a planet that was reduced to desert after a nucluer holocost.) in the Starcraft Universe.

Default Star Wars

I'd have put this in the movie section, but since Star Wars goes so far beyond the movies in terms of lore, etc, I think it should go in general.

I'll get the ball rolling: Since there was some discussion about this in the Coruscant v. Pandora thread, what planet would you want to live on, and why?

For me, and this may sound strange, I'd love to live on Tatooine. While it may be a barren desert aside from a few settlements and cities rife with criminals, it has always been my favorite planet. I like the history and wildlife, and I think living there would be intense to say the least. Also, it was the first planet I was ever introduced to in the Star Wars universe and(since I've been watching the original trilogy since before I can really remember) it has a lot of nostalgia value.

Also, I think that its so dry they have to have farms just to get water is pretty crazy.

Hmmm I like the nature aspect of Naboo but the civilisation based its architecture on renaissance art which I'm not really a fan of.

It'd have to be Coruscant. Not that there's much choice to begin with, only five or six worlds are shown in considerable detail (Cloud City isn't a planet, obviously) in the entire saga.

Well, there's actually LOADS to choose from, just most of them are all only mentioned outside of the movies.

Yes, nice binary sunsets there. I'd probably choose Endor. Nice and lush, and the best fireworks show in the whole universe. I'll call myself a Star Wars fan, although I never got into anything outside of the first three films. Then again, I'm also one of the few people here who was alive when the first three films came out.
