Avatar Communities Film to be shown at the RoB Knox Film Festival

Some of you may recall that last year this forum teamed up with Avatar-Forums to make a film together about the need to look after our planet. The film was called Our Only Home. Besides ending up on You Tube we also managed to get it available on iTunes and also an App made for the iPhone/iPod/iPad.

Well earlier this year I entered it into the Rob Knox Film Festival. The majority of you well probably not know who Rob Knox was. He was an actor who played Marcus Belby in Harry Potter. He's the guy on the far right on the picture below:


Sadly he was murdered in 2008 defending his brother from a knife attack. So to honor his memory a film festival was set up. One of the categories in the festival was 'community'

So what more fitting than to enter Our Only Home; a community film project that was made by 20 people from two Avatar community forums who represent nine different countries.

Well, this evening I received an email from the event organisers saying that there had been over 200 entries to the film festival. However for the event only 50 had been chosen to be screened as part of the festival. The wonderful news is that one of those films that will be shown is Our Only Home!:nparty:

It will be screened at the New Generation Church, Bexley Heath, London on 31st May. More info here.
