Default Marines beat assailant up

I thought this was hilarious, so I decided to post it up here.
In Augusta, Georgia, a guy named Tyrone Jackson tried to rob a labtop from Best Buy. Security saw it on tape and approached the man, who in response brought out a knife. He ran out the door where four Marines who were collecting toys for toddlers happened to be present. The guy stabs one of the Marines in the back. The Marine that was stabbed went to the hospital but was okay. When they found the guy, he had two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose, and a broken jaw. The policeman wrote in his report that the guy sustained his injuries from slipping and falling. I've got one word for that....Oohrah!!!!!

Only ultra-violence can fight violence.

What kind of Skxawng attacks a group of marines like that? If he just ran off he probably would have been fine, or at least caught but not beaten to a pulp.

It's (partly) fake. As Isard said, read this: snopes.com: Stabbed Marine

Looks to me like some marine fan just decided to add a load of detail, probably to show what they supposedly can do, but IMHO that just shows how dangerous such people really are - they should be helped, not trained to murder people. Of course, such a response wouldn't surprise me though with how dangerously unhinged and violent such people are.

I don't have any intrest in this topic because media is media. But HNM, do you really have to go that far. I mean, from what your saying, it sounds like your saying people in the armed forces, preferably the U.S marines, are generally trained thugs and are trained only for the sol-purpose of hurting people. And even though that statement is partialy ture (I watched The Pacific and saw for myself) I don't think it's good to veiw them that way. I mean they still go in and risk their lives for others, Great example WWII, and we honor them for protecting us. Also marines helping out for the toys for tots sounds like something the USMC would do (Some of them are good men). I'm sure AC130StandingBy would have something to say about that considering he will be in the USMC soon. I'm not acusing anyone, I'm just pointing out something that concerns me thats all.

Did... did you just use a false story to attack the US military?

I just lost any respect I had for you right there.

I hate it when people generalize things so frequently...

Anyways, why bother discussing this or posting it at all? It's so friggin petty and pointless. Honestly, I'd rather that we post stories of achievement rather than stupidity.

I think their reaction has nothing to do with being a Marine. If a crazy man jabbed one of my friends, I'm sure me and my other friends would beat the daylights out of him too. I'm not for violence by any means, but there comes a time, specifically when someone is stabbing you with a knife, when action is appropriate. I think something along the lines of this^ is a better description of a military person's job.

Besides, this is a fake (or mostly fake) story.
