Default JC might be going...

...to the moon!

Quote:

LONDON — The first of two $150 million tickets for a pioneering tourist mission to the moon was off the market Sunday, and its owner was rumored to be the world-famous "Avatar" director James Cameron.

Space Adventures, the American company offering the trip scheduled for 2015, said only that the buyer of the ticket was a "well-known" personality. The expedition will begin aboard a Soyuz spaceship launched from Kazakhstan.

Wonder what spacecraft they're going to use to get him there? They Soyuz can get him into LEO, but a Soyuz/R7 with that kind of range hasn't been even conceptualized since the 1960s. Even with a stop at the ISS things seem a bit cut close.

We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. REALLY?! I honestly hope that was sarcastic.
It's JC, someone who has done far more than just about any other person, ever. He deserves it.

They might just use the same design that got us there before. I saw on the discovery channel that they're rounding up all the scraps to rebuild it so they can copy the design and improve a few things to make a new one rather then re design it all from scratch

Nope, no sarcasm in that.

He may be JC, but he's not a god.

Yes, indeed he has done a hell of a lot, things that I - and i'm sure countless others - are hugely grateful for... But imagine what else could be done with that amount of money. Literally thousands of people could be helped from one of their many, many different predicaments. He could have given it to any number of ecological or humanitarian charities, and still had millions and millions in 'pocket change'.

I just assume he has already lost all hope for humanity (we can kinda see it on his movies) so doesn't care. If this is not the case then he's just being selfish..
