Slowly returning to normal... and Avatar...

Whew... It's been wayyyyyy too long since my last forum post (sometime shortly after the Seattle meet-up). Work took on an unexpected travel component, and I've been on the road and working absurd hours, meeting with customers, etc. I hate it (the travel). Additionally, I received an unexpected--and unwanted!--promotion, after which I suspect more of this sort of thing will be headed my way. Consequently, while some would be jazzed about the recognition, I'm looking for new work, either inside or outside of the company. We'll see. It's depressing!

...but I've been thinking about Avatar a lot, and after receiving Alan's amazing video of the Seattle meet-up, I realized I had to start making time to stop by and keep celebrating the awesomeness that is Avatar (Thanks again, Alan! That was a much-needed wake-up call!).

On long flights and on long sits in empty meeting rooms, hotel rooms, and elsewhere, I actually did quite a bit of Avatar fanfic writing. I've got six fanfics now, in various states of completion, and am hoping to polish off one or two in the coming weeks. I also arrived home last weekend to my shipment of lenticular sheet lenses, which, together with color laser prints of the left/right images from the 3D Avatar Blu-ray, I hope to make into some 3D postcards and 8x10's for the walls in my office. I'll let you all know how that goes!

Anyway: I hope I am back. I need more Avatar! In fact, I don't think I've ever longed for the sequel more than I do now! Gah! Where's a DeLorean and some Plutonium when you need it!
