Just because something is perpetuated commonly in our society, doesn't mean it is a good thing.

Anyhow, this particular subject matter is like a cancer, and whenever it's brought up, someone is bound to pick up on it, and then we have to listen to some captain obvious going through a list of things we all know, but don't bother to mention because we assume, and rightly so, that everyone else does too.
