Hmm, very interesting stuff.
Good for JC that he flat-out wrote this documentation for his case! And now that it's done, hopefully he can get back to concentrating on the scripts for the sequel films.

Finally read the 45 page thing like I said I would three months ago, and if there are spoilers in it, they were from somewhat obscure references I just didn't get since most of it is JC explaining where he got his ideas from (a lot of which he admits is from other media).

From the images online it seems the guy has made some really nice work, like the dreamy style. And there could certainly be some inspiration but come on. There's big stylish tree's, rock arches and floating rocks in lots of places.
This way the owners of Tolkiens work could sue almost every modern fantasy work..
On the other hand i wish everyone but especially big productions credited the smaller unknown artist. I'm not even meaning money but just images, recognition, some attention.

In this instance, the judge threw out the lawsuit, plain and simple.

A judge throws out a lawsuit from a man who claimed to have developed a sci-fi project at the behest of Lightstorm Entertainment.

Yes! Glad to hear JC won this round against Ryder! Now hopefully JC will win any others and then no one else will try to take him to court over Avatar.
