Since my old notebook died on me around the holidays (showing lots of hardware interrupts, randomly shutting off, not even letting me finish a Windows recovery after formatting the HDD), I donated myself with a new one... and made sure to adapt the looks to Avatar standard (see the "Post your Desktop" thread ). Fortunately, I was able to save all important stuff (including my Avatar picture collection) onto an external disk, before the old Fujitsu Siemens went dead forever.

With more RAM and extra VRAM, I can now watch HD content on the 16:9 display while running FTP uploads, having a browser with various tabs open without hassle or hangups. Thanks a lot for Intel Core processors and several gigs of RAM.

Oh, and as an early gift to myself, I purchased new toe rings in the beginning of December, as I mentioned in the "Going Barefoot" thread already.

Wiggling bare toes,

A Pre-1964 Winchester model 1894 lever action, .30-30 caliber rifle. (Remember folks, I hunt for food in the fall, and this is an excellent, short rifle that is PERFECT for hunting White tailed Deer in heavy cover).
We got a check for 200 dollars from my mother in law in a really nice card. The most important thing though, was her acceptance of me as a person, and our 18 year loving relationship.
