Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I could not distinguish it from the subsequent cartoon show.

300 Rise of an Empire. It's pretty much a video game in movie format. It also butchered history so bad that I kept a hand near my forehead pretty much throughout the entire movie. I suppose if you don't think too much about it, then the film is pretty fun and entertaining.
Speaking of Classical Greece, I remember watching the film Troy (2004) in 2005, when I was in middle school. Unfortunately, I watched that film after reading the Iliad and the Odyssey, and the film left me rather underwhelmed. While the Iliad may be a bit too long for a movie, I would really want to see a new, faithful adaptation of the Odyssey. Interesting note: Achilles' invulnerability other than his heel was actually not in the Iliad. As far as we know, it didn't get mentioned until in works in the Roman times.

Quote:
Before Avatar, I went to see movies about every week or every other week. Now I rarely see them in theaters at all. For me to watch a movie in theaters, it has to really be a spectacle, otherwise I'll just wait for it to arrive on Netflix. A good example of this is Paul, which I was watching today. I really like that movie, but I never saw it in theaters. If I could go back and do it over..... I still wouldn't see it in theaters. The money I would have spent to see it in a theater was better used to buy it on blu-ray and see it whenever I want. |

I really miss cheap US movies, movies here are literally twice as expensive as matinee and there's assigned seating so that the good seats can cost even more

Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Decent, fun film to watch, though I'm not really into the whole Marvel universe (nor DC, nor comics in general).

So, I just watched "The Muppet Movie". I haven't watched it since I was little and I didn't really remember most of it, so it was like watching it for the first time. It's an amazing film. 11 out of 10.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
A pretty good sequel. Needless to say, Andy Serkis is amazing as Caesar. A small gripe: what's up with the apes never having to reload their assault rifles?

Wasn't Starving Games the one with the Na'vi parody? Haven't watched it but I seem to remember one of the Hunger Games parodies featured an Avatar spoof...

Babylon 5 Hockey Pockey - YouTube Last film I saw was Guardians of the Galaxy, which was great. Out of every Marvel film, it takes itself the least seriously.

"Puppetmaster", "Demonic Toys" and "Dollman".
All three of them are so bad they're good. The silliness is off the charts. The best one is "Demonic Toys". |
