Star Trek (2009), awesome sci-fi 'nuff said.
![]() Knowing. I really like Knowing (even though Im not entirely a fan of apocalyptic movies), it's a very clever movie and deals with Destiny and Free Will smartly too. ![]() Demolition Man. An interesting malgamation of Rambo and sci-fi. Sylvester Stallon - a "dumb" 20th century man thrown into a sophisticated and intelligent future. |

I just saw Titan A.E. because I wanted to know what's all the fuzz about
First it's Dreaming of Pandora's raving xD and then shortly after Patrice Maire mentions it in one of her posts? Well I needed to see that! Anyway, I wanted to see it in cinema when I was young (I saw the trailer when I was seeing Godzilla or Lion King or something like that xD) but I kinda forgot about it, so that played a part too. Well it was kinda silly (the plot, the betrayal was kinda weird), but I loved how imaginative it was. The more unbelievable fantastic stuff the better The characters immediately reminded me of this pocahontas disney style, very easy to identify with, the hero and the girl were both handsome and you just knew they belong together from the first moment haha. Anyway, despite the childish flavour, I really liked it. ![]() By the way, pocanhonats (hahah I really like this typo ) seems to be groundbraking movie after all! First it's the Avatar, now Titan A.E. Soon well be comparing everything to pocahontas!

![]() The plot may be a bit 'out of this world' (excuse the pun) and the characters are easily defineable but here are the two reasons why that's okay for this movie. 1. If aliens were to ever destroy Earth or if tensions between an alien race grew. It'd be expected of humans to assure the continuity of the race. I've already posted a thread of how humans are making "back-ups" of Earth. So in the far future, I think it's likely that humans would have the technology to salvage their race in the case of destruction. 2. The characters are not too fleshed out for reasons that become apparent; animated movies are expensive and time-consuming. Making huge scenes that give all the characters depth is rather pointless and costly in a space action movie. I don't think it's necessary to flesh out any of the characters in the movie; their motives were well defined and their personalities are well constructed too. The Betrayel scene is not well justified in the movie but to clear things up Korso (the captain) was a space pirate/rogue mercenary. He's a guy who sides with the highest bidder, the Drej (evil blue aliens). So saving the Earth was not his motives, a big wad of cash and his life was the reason why he betrayed Kale and Akima. Luckily he gets good again.

Hm.
Well, last thing was "Orphan", and let me tell you, I thought it was just gonna be another bad, modern-day horror without an ending with bad acting and script (like most horrors these days). And it WASN'T. I'm going to buy it. It was that good. Very intelligently edited, acted, and written. The story was fantastic. A real classic. |

i saw The A Team yesterday... it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great action, great chracters and the story was more complex than i thought. B.A. Baracus was alot nicer than i thought, i thought he was the "beat the **** out of everyone" type but nope. BUT Murdoch is by far the best character XD damn he is funny!

I will probably not see it in the cinema, there is significant lack of proper bling-bling.

Watched "Max". Film about Hitler in his youth at the end of WWI. Primarily about his artwork and his early ideas in politics. Interesting.
