Default 'Avatar' star to remain homeless

Found this kind of silly and interesting, thought I'd share:

Sam Worthington loves his nomadic lifestyle so much, he's vowed to remain homeless for as long as possible.

The Australian actor sold all his possessions to pursue his career in Hollywood, and he's been living in hotels and sleeping on a pal's couch ever since.

And despite his hefty pay cheque from movie parts including a leading role in Avatar, Worthington intends to stay homeless for as long as possible - because he loves living like a "gypsy".

He tells Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, "The white picket fence in Australia has never really appealed to me. I'm not very responsible when it comes to mortgage, bills, paperwork...

"I could have had that years ago and I chose not to. Maybe when I'm 60 I'll settle down. At the moment I like my lifestyle. I've got a bag of clothes and a bag of books. I don't own a phone and I don't want to own one. Sydney's home but I am never normally there. I'm a gypsy. I go where the work is."

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of diggin' his style there. And he does it in spite of all the money he's got.

I kinda doubt it, these folks are great at their craft, and they are all capable of transporting the people that watch the movies that they star in, to the manufactured reality that their characters portray. Once they get away from the camera's, for the most of them, they return to the life of Hollywood stars. This guy has done something different, shunning the millionaire Hollywood lifestyle, but that very exclusionary act, would insulate him from the humdrum of his fans.

Haha, I bet none of the other fancy celebrities want to be seen around him (outside of movies, that is).

I knew he was homeless before Avatar - I didn't know he still was.
Well, if it works for him, good for him

Easy, he took a little of the money that he made, and he bought himself a place around Honolulu, I guess.
If it were me, and I had that kind of money, I would have bought 8 or 10 acres in the area of Asutuai, on Tutuilla Island in American Samoa. Asu Bay is totally uninhabited, and an Equitorial rainforest. I used to camp there alone on weekends, it would give my Father FITS, as there are Wild Boar in the area. I would sleep on the shore after cooking some fish that I had just speared, I was only in a little pup tent, but I never saw any Boar. If I had, I had a REALLY NICE "Pig Spear" that would have collected several hundred pounds of Boar that I would have dragged back up the seven mile dirt road that climbed the 3,000 foot cliff from Asutuai to Asufou.
