Considering how popular Mythbusters is, I'm surprised that there hasn't been a thread on it here yet. Guess I'll start. It's one of the few remaining worthwhile shows on Discovery Channel. Too bad there is only a finite number of myths to test. I like anecdotes surrounding the myths and the personalities of the show hosts. It has also been a source of many memorable lines. It's been a while since I've watched the show, but I've always liked it.
Discuss away! What are you favorite episodes and scenes?

It was worthwhile until they got that terrible actor, the annoying asian guy, and the annoying eye candy red head girl.
They ruined the show. I prefer the episodes with just Adam and Jamie.

I rarely watch television anymore, but when I do, Mythbusters is always on the list of shows to watch. I don't have a favorite episode. The explosions are always fun to see, though. A few days ago I watched the one where Adam and Jamie were trying to make a boat catch fire for Obama using mirrors. It was interesting to watch. I can't remember if it was busted or confirmed. I have a horrible memory.

Busted.
The show used to be good (entertaining) (The "science" never was) through the first few seasons. - Mikko

One of my favorites was when they copied the myth of the bullet coming back and hitting the guy who shot the gun. Another one was where they tried to see if a hunter trying to "water" the hot wire of an electric fence could get a very "personal" shocking experience. They busted that one.

Mythbusters is brilliant.
There's nothing overly wrong with the science, they've even failed to call some results either way because it was within expected variance. The main problems are to be expected, such as small sample size, and they take all reasonable steps to eliminate external factors (yeah, I know reasonable != possible, but it's a TV programme, not a massive research programme).

As I said, despite the shaky science; the first few seasons of the show where entertaining to watch.

I watch the show mostly because I find the science to be interesting. Even when you don't get an explosion or an expected result, it is still cool to know what the result of the experiment was.
