No, I work at Sam's Club. You work with chickens, right? I think I saw you post that once...maybe. Does Foster Farms sell to a specific company, say, Tyson, Pilgrims Pride or Members Mark?

Luckily I don't work WITH the chickens lol... I'm primary data analysis support for our Sales and Marketing departments. A key function of mine is to provide analytics to our Sales force that helps them get our products authorized, improve distribution, and assist in promotional planning. I also provide reporting and recommendations to our Marketing department based on market data we purchase from outside vendors.

As for Tyson, Pilgrims Pride, and Members Mark, we do not sell to those companies. They are direct competitors of ours. Foster Farms main business is in Fresh Chicken. We hold roughly a 47% Dollar share on Fresh Chicken sales in California, Oregon, and Washington. Our share drops to 38% when you include states from Colorado west. We do not have distribution on our branded fresh chicken anywhere east of Kansas.

Tyson is the king of Frozen Cooked chicken. We battle it out with them here out west, but aren't much competition for them out east. We do however have the #1 corndog in the nation! . Our corndog may be the only Foster Farms product anyone out east has ever seen.

We recently purchased a processing plant among other assets in Farmersville Louisiana from Pilgrims Pride to help us increase distribution outside of our core markets. So far we have picked up a good deal of Walmart private label business in the South. We also use this plant to supply our Colorado customers.

Well, that's interesting, madman. I guess Sam's Club doesn't do business with Foster Farms.

Of course you don't work WITH chickens lol

As for the corndogs, last time I had one(I have no idea what brand it was) I felt sick That was quite a long time ago.

lol. Corndogs ARE the most unhealthy product we sell. Probably why it's #1. Us fat Americans love junk food don't we?

So here I am, stationed in Germany with the United States Army. I was previously stationed in Seoul, South Korea and had the time of my life there. Made some great friends both American and Korean and am planning to go back on vacation.

Sometime in the near future, I would also like to take the opportunity to visit England. English people rock. Shout out to ma tsmukan, Kelariarh. Cheers, brother! I would also like to visit Greece and Japan.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Ciscoloco out!
That is one thing that almost got me to enlist.. the opportunity to travel around the world. So far I've only been throughout the Western US. I'd love to visit Europe and parts of Asia. For this I guess I need to work a little harder... Not exactly cheap to travel these days.

Hello, my name is Jay and I'm an alcoho - oops, wrong meeting (I'm not actually an alcoholic. Life hasn't traumatized me to that point, yet...). Anyway, I'm in my early twenties and have lived in Arizona, Nevada, and California. I'm currently a student of information systems, supply chains, and business economics.
