Kaltxi Guys
I wanted to talk when I first watched Avatar In theaters and the moment That I fell in love with it and how I related to the story, A little back story with Me, I've had a foot problem since I was born where if I walk or run for long periods my feel start to hurt to the point where I just had to sit down! Now I've had various surgery's over the years that have helped. But if it's not my feet stopping Me from doing what any kid ever wanted to do like run or play sports, It was my asthma keeping me from doing anything active of which I still need medication daily to control, So the moment when I was watching Avatar in theaters for the first time in 3D which just added to the experience, was the moment Jake wakes up the first time He enters his Avatar body and he ignores the Doctors and runs for the first time in years outside and the music picks up as he runs free. That was the moment I was like ![]() ![]() At that moment I wanted to go to Pandora and leave this body for one free of problems I could run and without getting out or breath or my feet hurting so bad that I would have to set down, I'd probably react the same way Jake did. That's not the only thing I liked about the movie of course. I loved the awesome character of Neytiri if You couldn't tell for my name, And the story has such a good set up that at the end when He give the speech and they bring the clans together and it just gives me such a grate feeling, and one of the if not the best endings in any film ever. all that with a environmental message makes it "the best' movies and experiences I've ever had in my life ![]() Was there any one moment for You guys in Avatar where You fell in love with the film or related to it in some way? Thanks for reading

I don't think there was any one moment for me, I was just pretty much in awe the whole time. I do remember that the first thing I said to my friend Sarah, who I first saw it with, was that it was the best movie ever made, by which I meant that if you compare it to all other movies without giving extra points to any for the year they were released or for one having done anything first, Avatar was clearly the best, it had everything. Something I really liked about it was the whole premise of young interstellar travel and first contact happening not on Earth-- there's so much of scary aliens visiting Earth or humans in the future in an established galactic community, so if anything about Avatar was original, it's the setting of Pandora and the idea that we could possibly meet a sentient species that is not more advanced than us, and then we'd have to make the moral choices.

You're 100% right! Avatar is so original I don't think I'll ever again see a masterpiece like it! Well maybe not until Avatar 2 that is ![]() Cool fact it is Est. that there are 30+ billion planets in habitable zones that could support life! So there's a strong chance that we'll find aPandora someday, hopefully in our lifetimes Thanks for replying. I

For me, it was the contrast between life on Earth and life on Pandora.
In the short section we see Earth, what is life like there? It's devoid of any meaning or purpose. It's "soulless." Life on Earth, human society, is about entertainment, money, and "popularity contests." It's about watching TV, getting drunk, having one-night stands, etc. It's about "who's better than who" by who has the better car, the better clothes, the better whatever. But at the end of the day, it doesn't mean anything. Life is hollow and empty. It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder whether it's worth living for tomorrow, since tomorrow will be just as hollow and lifeless as today. But then, Jake goes to Pandora. Everything is different there. As soon as he runs outside, his life becomes about that strange, magnificent world and everything in it. He became a part of it, and it became a part of him. He discovered the "soul" of life that made every day worth living, fighting-even dying for. I guess I'm lucky that I see the world as a "magical" place. But everywhere I see people who care about nothing more than being "popular" and "better" than everyone else, things like this that don't really matter. It's irritating, but I don't let it get to me. I just wish more people would discover what matters... hopefully Avatar will help them do that.

I think they've lost the connection to their soul. a lot of them believes life's only about how many friends money an girlfriends they have and don't believe to a soul or a higher force. They have a soul to but i believe a very young soul. they dont understand that's life is only about to reach the Exams at the end. to die satisfied. To Avatar, before i saw avatar i was depressed and i didnt know what to do with my life. Avatar changed Me in a lot of ways also, Before I had watched Avatar I was never really that spiritual or careing about the environment, I was really so blind to a lot of things in my young life back in 2009, Compare to now 4 years later, I now eat much healthier. The character of Neytiri has so many good qualitys like inspiring me to fight for what's right and not be afraid to speak your mind when You have to and so much more. I really fell in love in love with Her ![]() And over all Avatar made Me stop and look at what 'we'' as humans are doing to our planet. Really a once in a lifetime Film and a inspiring message of hope So many life lessans I've learned. I'm so glad it changed Your life, as it did for a lot of us on Here and I wish You the best in your career

For me, relating to Avatar emotionally was just so easy. I have been an active environmentalist most of my life, and have always been in awe of our own beautiful planet. What Avatar did was reinforce my determination to do what I can to care for Earth. However, physically, Avatar has made a great difference. For many years I had been unable to bend my knees more than 90 degrees; if I tried, it felt like I was going to break something. (I was a marathon runner in my past and messed myself up a bit
) Then I saw how beautifully Neytiri moved, and I wanted to regain my own flexibility. So I went to a physio and he showed me what to do. Now, every morning I exercise, pretending I am Neytiri at the Banshee colony of Oorah saying "Tsaheylu Jake! Tsahelyu". I have also found that my walking style has improved (I love walking). Having watched how Neytiri was trained to walk "like a Na'vi" I have done something similar myself - imagining that my walking is coming from my core. When I'm in that zone I feel as if I'm gliding. It's a beautiful feeling. For these and many other reasons I salute Avatar! |

I would like to cosplay at a comic con someday, I think the hardest part for Me would be trying not to embarrass myself, And doing the Na'vi People justice in my interpretation of their movements Haha.

Kaltxi again, I am back from the woods!
(it's about 11pm AGAIN but if I just don't write now I'll probably never get to it, at all...) So, better late than never - and in this case I am Glad I took my time cos I watched Avatar again & can tell some more. When I saw it for the first time Ever the feeling was this: Still, the key moments when I Felt I was inside the movie, or it was something So mine: 1. The very first seconds - gliding over the misty forest, & Jake saying: "I started having these flying dreams... I was free!" I think my heart skipped a bit cos I sure Knew this flying feeling, only didn't remember where or when. 2. Jake discovers bioluminiscence - that was OMG! cos in 2006 I dreamed that I was in a glowing jungle, & the dream was so vivid, I couldn't get it out of my head for years, too real for 'just a dream' - & then I saw it on the screen! 3. Neytiri teaching about tsaheylu - I Know this 'bond', too, cos I do reiki & other flow of energy healings where this is Exactly what you do: 'link' with the patient & Feel what they feel inside (not always nice if someone is in pain! pain also reaches thru the link)... 4. Becoming one with the people - I've been in group meditations, & the united flow of energy sometimes is so strong that you feel almost ingravity (*). 5. Healing Grace... same (*) here - I am So familiar with it, only on Our planet with Our ancestors' healings... As you see I mostly tuned in with Tsahik / 'flow of energy' aspects - but that's me. But recently, after I watched Avatar for this last time (cried rivers of course) - it still Amazes me how it shows me exactly what I need to See in this particular momento of my life! It happened Every single time I watched Avatar - maybe 12 times total. So this time it was all about liberation: Jake running for the first time, Jake's first flight, Uniting the Clans - and Jake opening his eyes, the last second of the movie, he is Finally with his people and can Finally be himself! This time I Really sintonized with Jake when he lived in three different 'worlds' - one with the Na'vi & Neytiri, the other with Grace & Norm in the shack, & the other - working for Quaritch as a spy. And he couldn't tell the whole truth to anybody, that must have been a Huge pressure for him. I feel the same now: my company is ''RDA", I don't like it, but I am still there for money reasons (but I shut up about Avatar & all). The other is my far-out healings where I Feel Myself - but still can't dedícate myself fully, & I can't talk to many people about it. Yet another life is this fórum which I love - but then again, not all fans here relate to 'the flow of energy' - neither many people in my RL relate to Avatar... I just wish to run, then fly away on an ikran, and then - when I am ready - to wake up surrounded by My people and living My life! Phew, this was a long post. I am now like in R.E.M. 'Losing My Religion': "Oh no! I've said too much - and haven't said enough..." PS I am sorry about your leg NeytiriLover93 I am thinking about a couple of inspiring books - if you are interested, let me know. Real stories.
