NICE BRAIDS, Ay'iheyu!! Very Na'vi.

Okay....after much deliberation, here's a pic of yours truly. Not at all as exciting or glam or (ahem) sexy as some of the preceding, but at least you'll recognize me if you see me in a mall or something....

I'm the serious looking one on the right....

Oh , no.....not mine. I explain in my album - but briefly here: I work for an aerospace museum, and my job is to coordinate the introduction of new exhibits. The suit is real - an Apollo era suit used by Buzz Aldrin (yup!!) and Bill Pogue. I had to make a conservation grade mannequin to fit inside. I didn't get to wear it, but I've been all the way inside in every nook and cranny. And now the suit is on display in the Pima Air & Space Museum space gallery about 15 feet from Frank Borman's moon rock award. (real chunk o' luna!). The piccy is of me having finished the project....my very first full size mannequin. I get to do lots of really weird stuff like that....truly unique job.

I think it's SO COOL that, simply based on this thread, we find a group of people here that fit very wide demographics with respect to age, sex, profession, and ethnic background.

It's pretty awesome that we can all share similar ideas and feelings for the characters and meaning behind the movie, and have such great conversations about it

Exactly Boomachucka. Yet another important thing that Avatar taught us - to love the person inside and love them unconditionally. That's what I cherish about our community. So much diversity in music, literature, arts, languages and cultures that we all have something to teach each other and we all have something to learn.

I'm getting all emotional and huggy...

*hugs to all you wonderful people*

Aerospace museum? Im feeling kinda jealous, never been to one (except for a small museum in my local observatory). You're so lucky to have stood next to Buzz Aldrin's space suit did you say?

Gah when I get enough money, Im going to one of those.
