Indeed, his progress with the NK leader is one of his good actions.
He just could be a bit more respectable (it doesn't mean he has to stop to say things we don't like/agree with) from the outside view. I'm glad I'm not living everyday with these societal debetes. lol

President Trump says things that he knows bothers his haters, and he's going to do what's right for this country whether anyone likes it or not. That's why he's so popular. I understand that he can be abrasive, but try to pay more attention to what he's doing.
No one can honestly say they hate the record breaking achievements this president has made.

Indeed, I'll admit I do find him abrasive. I wish he was more respectful towards citizens who are of a different race than him.

Just a quick reminder to everyone on this thread, and to anyone who views it, to do your own research and fact check everything you read or see - especially when it comes to the topic of politics - and try to use unbiased and reliable sources when presenting evidence. There is an increase of people online using biased and untrue sources and claiming that they're facts; particularly when it comes to topics like the American president and the upcoming elections.
Anyway Peace out ☮️ Last edited by Lady; 07-24-2019 at 01:06 AM. Reason: Grammar error |

UK resident here... so admittedly I'm not really all that up to scratch on American politics (I've got brexit to worry about!!).
So can anyone give me a politically neutral/unbiased rundown on what Trump's actually doing?? because everytime I see anything on this guy, there's people either saying 'DON'T LISTEN TO THEM - THIS IS A LEFT WING SMEAR CAMPAIGN!' or 'THAT RACIST DIRTBAG AT IT AGAIN'.... ultimately I've given up trying to keep up.

Basically, he's doing and saying a lot of stupid stuff. Some of the stuff is just kind of random, but makes sense if you look into it a bit. And some some of the stuff he says is legit stupid, and racist. I don't like him myself, but I don't harp on him for everything, but he doesn't make himself look good at all.

I'll agree with moonbeam^ concerning certain things he says that are pretty stupid, though I wouldn't say "saying stupid things" necessarily makes him stupid. Because... he kind of isn't, if you wanna really get down to basics.
I'm conservative libertarian, so I personally think every president since FDR has been abusing the presidency to various degrees. Many people have expressed their surprise that Trump was elected, but it was pretty inevitable if you look at American history concerning the executive branch. Also, I hate being the type of person who says, "Hey! Read this thing!" or "Watch this video!" But I'll be honest: libertarian views in America are pretty much as unbiased as you'll get when it comes to politics, and this video shows what happened. Don't watch it if you don't want to; I'm just posting it (though it's pretty entertaining, whether you're conservative or liberal). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s0BAHuK_aA |

By the way, I'd be glad to hear any takes you might have on Brexit and/or Boris Johnson should you feel like sharing them. Last edited by Empty Glass; 07-29-2019 at 06:07 AM. |

Always this "racism" talk in every way...
Avatar is also about indigenous people AND preserving them and their species/race/culture/way of life instead of deytroying it forever. The biggest racism I can see today, is how we ancient indigenous white people of Europe are beeing replaced by low birth rates (which actually was a very good thing) in combination with higher migrant birth rates and continuing legal/illegal mass immigration from overpopulating Africa/Middle East/Asia and even Central/South America. Yep there was the strange war in Syria and instead of helping actually real war refugees locally for 1/15 of the cost or 15x times as many, Europe especially my stupid Germany lured millions more inside and counting, most of them young men of retarded muslim world view eventually looking for easy money from working people. Estimated costs in Germany alone are 1.000.000.000.000€ for migration in the recent and coming years. And for what? For the ethnic cleansing of indigenous Europeans? Does it help the countries of emigration? Not really, most of them still got too much population growth. There are alot of areas in Europe which already don't have anything to do with Europe except beeing part of the geographical continent, they have been turned into a new Orient. I ... fight for the rights of indigenous peolpe, be it anywhere in the world, but here in Europe us bad white men are the ancient citicens. Besides, it is basically overpopulation what destroys nature, kills species, warms the climate with deforestation, wastes the precious resources of Earth in a short period of time and so on and on. Real multiculturalism includes, that the different cultures/races are to be PRESERVED and not slowly be displaced by demographics and migration. The end result of that development is the exact same as a full-scale genocide. Think of that please, it is not ompicated.

Before Boris Johnson came into power, there was a big flurry about the conservative party possibly 'dissolving' if they could not secure a brexit deal by October. Newspapers were announcing the possible 'DEATH of the Nations OLDEST political party' - which would likely happen if everyone lost faith in the conservative parties ability to secure a brexit deal. In the run up to selecting a PM, there was a live debate involving ALL possible candidates scheduled to run on Channel 4 (**could be another channel I can't remember exactly**), either way political debates are held regularly on this channel and a lot of people were eager to hear what Boris Johnson had to say about Brexit. He didn't turn up. He didn't give a reason or notice either. Later it came out he'd been having huge arguments with his gf - though I'm not sure whether this was the reason for him skipping the live debate. It didn't matter anyway, because all his 'opponents' were pretty weak and were just trying to rehash what Theresa May had already tried. Now he's PM the value of the pound has SERIOUSLY dropped; and this is due to his 'ALL OR NOTHING' HARD brexit attitude - he doesn't seem to care about the consequences of a no deal brexit, he just seems focused on saving face. My opinion on Brexit? STAY - we need foreign workers and we need 'free' trade and travel. Most the people that voted 'leave' were those who ran around screaming 'IMMIGRANTS ARE STEALING ALL OUR JOBS' but when offered THOSE jobs (e.g. full time care workers for the disabled, working long sweaty hours in factories, cleaning public toilets, housekeeping etc.) they ALL stuck their noses up! And now we have a shortage of workers IN ALL OF these areas..... ![]() ^ Now I should mention that I'm not heavily invested in politics, so this isn't exactly the 'BREXIT SPEECH TO END ALL SPEECHES'.

Again, it's just a small list. I'm sure there's plenty I missed. I tried to make it focused on his policies and goals, and thus I haven't included anything regarding his relationship with the whole investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. If you want to know more, try reading up on the people he's appointed to specific positions (e.g. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, Administrator to the Environmental Protection Agency Scott Pruitt, etc.). As Crickett said, Wikipedia may be untrustworthy so pardon my using it - however, you can typically find links to plenty of news segments within each article. I hope this gives at least a start to getting to know the Trump presidency. Thanks for your words on Brexit. Boris Johnson sure does seem...interesting. I'll admit I was surprised when I saw he was to be the next PM, though I'll also admit I hadn't been paying close attention to British politics for a while.
Spoiler: only my own opinion!

Thank you Crickett and Empty Glass - I'll have a good read of all the sources you two have linked
![]() It will probably take me a good while to properly 'soak' everything in, but it's high time I formed a proper conclusion on Trump based on hard facts - rather then just petty Twitter/Tumblr rants. Sooo I'll be back to this thread - and hopefully a bit more clued up then I prev was.
