I would be tearing my hair out at this..
Unfortunately I know that when you have a forum full of
different people who have their own opinions, there is likely to be a clash of some kind
Shatner, disappointingly had to bear the brunt of that clash yesterday.
I wish he didn't go..but I think it would be worse if he stayed and continued to
get more upset..

I gave him a call today and we talked during my lunch break at college. He said he still is on the Avatar Forums and is still attending the Southern California Avatar Retreat. I begged him to reconsider, then I guess his signal got lost, and I had to go anyways, but I gave him a voicemail asking him again to reconsider and if he needs anyone to talk to I was there for him. I hope he returns

I really have no clear clue why you're leaving, even after what was said here, and after painstakingly trying to decipher what each message meant in that thread without the many posts that were obviously deleted from the discussion...

Well after speaking with him, I cannot say that I would not feel hurt also. I still believe leaving should not have happened. That said, I also do not blame him one bit for what was said was uncalled for. I very much so hope that the mod who made the comments is very ashamed of himself. An apology should be sent to Satner from you.

I didn't see the other thread until it was far too late. Fkeua didn't weigh his words well - probably not even knowing what Shatner is going through - and Shatner himself overreacted to them (still, in the heat of the moment I believe that I'd feel hurt too, if I were in his shoes). In any case, this was only a misunderstanding, and it's a shame that things like this happen for just a misunderstanding.

Shatner, if you can read this: please reconsider your choice. You will be missed.
