i would not choose to become a na'vi. i cannot live without books, music and the beauties that mother earth gives us in nature. i will never leave my parents, sister, horse and cat and goldfish behind. i will die if i cannot paint, draw, schulpt, write, make music, compose... . sooo, unless i can bring those things and persons mentioned above, i will not choose to become a na'vi, for i will be a heartbroken and soon dead na'vi i guess.
so if that means i got stuck with that billion, i would take them all to a nice castle in a forest. and i think i will start a thing like the village. i like the idea. like icery said. a safe community or private little village for people who think alike. and lots of art, music and nature ^_^

I think personally i'd become a Na'vi.

As Silver Storm said, it would be very difficult to leave behind all the music, literature and art that Earth has to offer, but i'm sure the Na'vi have their own version of the arts just as we do and that would be something wonderful to be a part of.

Assuming it's possible to go to Pandora and become one of the People, I would choose that option. I would still go even if family and friends couldn't, as callous as that sounds it's true for me

I agree with Sacred. I doubt any of my family and friends would want to go, but I would still go because it's what I want.

I think I would go. Having spent so long living without money I am aware of how nice having it would be, but also how much fulfillment you can get out of life without it.

As wonderful as the billion would be, as long as I could take my wife and family (and my knowledge of how to do some of the things I like to do on earth so I could replicate them on Pandora) I will take option number 2. Happily.

I would go if I could bring my family and put some of my books somewhere in hometree, etc as well as the instruments, etc. Afterall, you can introduce the Na'vi to some of the stuff that we have that is good. Not everything that we have is bad.

grin.. if any of us brings with him/her books, instruments and we discover how to make materials to do artsy stuff and the family and animals can come too that would surely change the situation!
it's not about being rich, but being heartbroken.

I would go to Pandora to become a Na'vi and become one of The People. I don't think anyone else I know would like to come along, but I would go because it is what I want.

$1 Billion is a lot of money though... I guess you could argue if that Pandora was a real place then all of us would definitely go there and become a Na'vi.

Pandora all the way.

What about accepting $1 billion, using part of it to travel to Pandora, and having corrective surgery done?

Hmm, that could work...

How about, joining the Avatar program with the RDA, go out into the wilderness and befriend a Na'vi, get to know them and get them to trust you, then have the Na'vi transfer your human body into your Avatar body so you will become a Na'vi forever?

I'd rather be a full Na'vi.

Default Hmmm......

Gimme that blue body and throw away the key!

Seriously though, it's gotta be everything. Even your loved ones; if this was a real program, there's gotta be STRICT rules.

^^^THIS^^^!!!!! I've done one other thing in my life because I knew that if I didn't I would think about the lost chance long after---this is another one.......With my mind pulled to Pandora as much as it is, I would have a "rest-of-my-life" sorrow if I didn't jump all over the even remote possibility.

On Earth, money is everything, and on Pandora, it is meaningless. As a Na'vi, one does not need, want, or have a desire for money in order to gain something, and considering the Na'vi's lifestyle is portrayed as being better than the lifestyle which many people have on Earth, my answer is pretty obvious.
