Default How would you cope with the music of Pandora?

For me, without music, my soul would wither. I need it to help me through the hard times and push me higher than high in the really good times. I was just thinking, if we became a Na'vi, how easy would it be to just leave all of earth's music behind and just embrace their music.

For me I think it would be really quite difficult. (As you can no doubt tell... ) I'm completely addicted to Drum & Bass music, to me, it's real music for the soul and leaving it behind would be really hard. I also think not having a guitar to play would be very difficult, it's a major outlet for emotion and losing it would be a really hard thing for me to do. Don't get me wrong, from what I have heard, I think the music of the Na'vi is really beautiful... but for me at least, nothing can compete with a really good D&B drop or a strong A minor chord...

How about you guys?

I'd say probably the same thing, only with metal. It's the music for me here on Earth, but I think that if I was a Na'vi, on Pandora, I wouldn't mind so much.

They indeed have amazing music on Pandora, but giving up D&B, electronic, rave, techno, trance, dubstep... I don't know it would be very difficult music like that reaches into my soul... It wants to get me up and dancing or just sitting down and relaxing, or just something to blast while your crusing down the street... Music is a major part of my life, although it'd be a price to pay to go live on Pandora as a Na'vi with the Omaticaya, I think I could get used to it.

Great point

I think music has become such a big part of me because of all the other things here on earth that I dont quite enjoy. Music is able to help me into my own little world. Now while I love practically ever genre I think I would be okay on pandora.

For one part because the Na'vi are so one with eachother I would already be in my little world with them. Secondly because music is all around us everyday and has just evolved into what it is now. I would think the Na'vi have an amazing music and I would be able to bring something new to it.

As much as music is a very large part of my life, if i were to be on pandora i really would be so in awe of everything else around me i probably wouldn't mind. The sounds of pandora would be music to my ears.

I would probably be annoyed by the fabrication of most music on earth, to be honest.Especially if i knew i'd be bringing it to an unaltered world? Not worth it!

Music is a very large part of my life - but tell me an artist/group/song you think everyone knows about, and there's a 90% chance I have never heard about it.

I listen to completely different kinds of music than the average person, and has no interest in rock, techno, metal, pop, D&B, electronic, rave, trance...

Much of the music I listen to regularly is actually tribal music, from around the world, extremely similar to the music of the Na'vi.

So I would feel very at home with the music of Pandora

Well, honestly, I would be just fine. I'm not really into music all that much *gasp* Shocking, I know, since it seems practically everyone is these days.
So yeah, I would be fine without the current music and stuff that we have here. I like the exotic sort of tribal sound anyways, so I would probably really enjoy it!

Well, I like music, don't get me wrong. I'd just be okay without it, that's all. A lot of people these days are obsessed with music, I'm just not.

and, same here Txum_kali'weya, I actually gave my brother my iPod, because I never used it lol.

True and true.
I don't know any thing about "popular" artists/singers, but they still kill me by annoyance. My ipod has 81 songs on it, in 2 albums. 54 AVATAR complete score, 23 Cave story remix project, and 4 from a flash game called plankton life 2.

I would love to hear the music of the Na'vi.

You put words to the feelings in my heart, ma tsmukan. Music is a very big part of me. I listen to some music from just about every genre; there always seems a time and a place for it all, from metal to punk rock to country and church hymns, and everything in between.

I think I would have a hard time adjusting from that to the Na'vi's music exclusively, too, to be perfectly honest. But of course, like Gunny said, we would be able to bring something to it ourselves, and create our own music among them too. Very interesting...

It's all about get used to the silence, or the birds' song, or whatever sounds on Pandora. I've been like 21 days out in the wild with nothing electronic but the summercamp speakers we used to call the people.

And also, the Na'vi have their own music; it won't be bad at all.
