Me likes this post.

I played Pokemon Stadium basically the whole time when I was 4 and 5.

I once had this PC game called Populous the Beginning.

It was the first god sim series ever created. There is something to be said of the satisfaction of unleashing fireballs, lightning bolts, tornadoes, volcanoes, and fire breathing dragons on your enemies all in the name of your tribe's glory.

UT99, GTA, Ignition. I used to play a lot of that on my friend's PC when I was young, in UT it was the map Morpheus, I could play that forever lol. First GTA is a classic and we always had some awesome Ignition multiplayer sessions while listening to a Guano Apes CD from a hifi. Good times.

I grew up with Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Doom,Donkey Kong 64, Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time and Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Back in the 90's we didn't have a computer or nintendo till 1997. Now kids are growing up with XBOX 360s at the age of 3. >.< Nintendo 64 will always be my fave console but I prefer PC.

(in chronological order)
Kid Icarus for the NES (original 8-bit Nintendo, which pre-dated many of you )
Bionic Commando for the NES
Strider in the arcade (Capcom CP System II, circa 1989--I actually have this arcade machine in my house now )
Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo
Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the Playstation
Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation

Well ok, those last three don't really count as childhood since I was in college when the Nintendo 64 and Playstation came out, but they are still very fond (and distant!) memories.
