Think of it as being closer to Na'vi lifestyle (the forest-dwellers in a warm climate, that is... it's comfier. ).
Their comfort in their almost nude state, their ease, innocence about it can be a role model for us in this respect, too. We can relate to Eywa by being close to our Mother Nature, we can relate to touching Her tenderly with bare feet, and we can also relate to the nudity as a natural state of being.

Wiggling bare toes,

HO METAKQUEASE! To all my relations! (Lakota)
Neka buliasa zepende grastende. Rom (gypsy) with one butt you can't ride two horses.
I memorized this line 35 years ago when I was in high school.(So it's probably wrong!) A French boy ran off to join the gypsies. He often heard this admonition!

This is one of Amma's 'fairytales with a lesson':
One good man had a well, & one day he noticed that the water smelled bad. He threw in some chemicals - they replaced the stagnant smell with a chemical smell, but after some time the stench came back. Then he went to a temple, got some holy water, & threw it in the well, too - it didn't work. He meditated about the water, but it still smelled bad. He asked a priest to come, perform a service, & bless the well - to no avail.

Then he went to a wise man of the village & asked him for an advise.
The wise man said: "Empty your well, & fill it with clean water".

The man did as he was told - but the water still smelled bad.
He went back to the wise man to ask for clarifications.

"Did you empty the well?" - the wise man asked.
"Yes, I did".
"Did you see anything on its bottom?"
"Yes".
"What was it?"
"A dead dog".
"Did you take the dog out?"
"Erm... no..."
"Well then, - the wise man said, - go back to your well, empty it again, get rid of that dog and only Then fill the well with clean water!"

The moral: if life seems to be treating you wrongly, it could be an inner attitude, & not external factors, that make "the water of our life 'stink'".

Default baby talk

Two babies are talking in the belly of a pregnant woman. One asks the other:
- Do you believe in life after birth?

The response was immediate:
- Of course not! What next... why?
- Well I certainly believe that there must be something after birth. Perhaps we are really here because we need to prepare for what will come later.
- Nonsense, there is no life after birth! What would that life be like?
- I do not know exactly, but certainly there will be more light than here. Maybe we’ll walk on our feet and eat by mouth.
- That is absurd! Walking is impossible. And eating with your mouth? It is totally ridiculous! The umbilical cord is what feeds us. I can only say one thing: life after birth is a definitively impossible hypothesis:the umbilical cord is very short.
- I honestly think that there will certainly be something. Maybe it's just a little bit different from what we used to have here.
- But nobody came back there, no one returned after birth. Birth is simply the end of life. Life that, really, is nothing but a prolonged anguish in this absolute darkness.
- Well, I do not know exactly how it will be after birth, but we will certainly see our mom, and she’ll take care of us.
- Mom? Do you believe in mom? And where this hypothetical mom could be?
- Where? All around us! We are in her, and we live through her. Without her, all this wouldn’t exist.
- I do not think so! I’ve never seen any mom, and that is the proof that Mom does not exist.
- Well, sometimes when we are silent, you can hear her singing, or feel how she caresses our world. Do you know what? I think, that real life waiting for us and now we are just preparing for it ...

Default Love is the answer

Everyone In The World (also known as ‘Love is the Answer’ and ‘Amma’s Dream’)

(this song was made out of Amma’s speech in UN - a rather... native way, when a real story is transformed into a legend, a fairytale or a song!)

Everyone in the world should sleep without fear,
At least for one night, sleep without fear.
Everyone in the world should eat to their fill,
At least for one day, eat to their fill.
There should be one day when there is no violence,
No one is injured, no one is harmed.
All people young and old should serve the poor and needy,
At least for one day, serve selflessly
This is my dream, this is my prayer,
Love is the answer, love is the way.

This is the original record: Amma sings “Everyone In the World” in MAT Centre, India - the sound... leaves a lot to be desired, but no wonder considering it was live, in an open space with 50,000+ persons. It gives a basic idea about the melody anyway:

Amma sings "everyone in the world" New Years Eve 2006 - YouTube

Rahul Raj:
AMMA's DREAM - YouTube

and even... a Hiphop version by Themba! AMMAs Dream, Everyone in the world/Hiphop style...................by temba Spirit - YouTube

Curiosier and curiosier...

You're very welcome
Amma is... special The best suggestion I can give is 'to go & See for yourself'. individual reactions are Very varied; some people feel divine, some suddenly break into tears for the sorrows of the world (their own sorrows included), some get 'mad as hell' in Tsyal Makto's terms at all the injustice & wrong things that they see around... and some feel nothing at all.

I heard all these comments, & more, before I got the first 'darshan' hug, & this information was so contradictory & confusing that I decided, like Camaron, 'to go my way, go my way' - to go with 'an empty glass' & no expectations; just to see what happens.

I wasn't sorry but that's me - everybody is unique as different, as our fingerprints...

If you want to have a look at what is happening at a program, here is a video 'a bit of everything'. I like it precisely because of that, it is not only what you see in the hall (all between meditations, singing, dancing & entertainment) but also work behind the scenes, people's emotions, travel... a Na'vi proverb:
Quote from: Seze Mune on May 03, 2012, 06:25:36 am
> Kxamtsengro ngeyä tokxä
> Ngaru livu tì’eyng;
> Ngal omum tsattutet a nga livu
> ulte ngal omum tsat a nga nivew.
>
> At the center of your being
> you have the answer;
> you know the person who you are
> and you know what you want.
>
Unquote

When I read that proverb, I remembered some things from different - light years away from Pandora - cultures:

Apache: "Listen to your heart... what does your heart tell you?" (I picked it up from GERONIMO ))
Jesus Christ: "Follow the Truth, & the Truth will save you" (or something - you're welcome to correct me)
Amma: "Amma is not asking anybody to follow, or not to follow, a certain religion. Amma only asks us to recognize our true essence."

The was I see, all these proverbs have something in common, & I cannot imagine Jesus Chris, Geronimo, Amma, and a Na’vi tsahik fighting over who is righter!
Resumen: 'A rose is a rose, no matter what the name'

There is a couple of stories that I posted on Aboriginal Dreamtime Stories:

about serenity

about what matters

(although these are from the Amazonas - a long way across the world! ) but wisdom is wisdom.

^^^beats me. If you figure out a formula, an equation, etc. for the connection of your mom's phone no. to box wine, you can claim Nobel's prize ... or something

Rather that contradictory axioms, I was talking about similarities & unity actually. Even such different persons as you and me have something in common: to say the least, both are humans living on the same planet at the same time. Plus, both are Avatar fans, posting on the same forum, the same subforum & the same thread. Plus, both went to the Meetup. Plus, both cosplayed. Anything else? err, there could be a couple of more things...

Anyways, more peace, love & unity:

Peace Mandala
People all over the world share a desire to live, love & raise their children in peace. The Peace Mandala design brings together a collection of symbols from many cultures that represent attributes of peace such as love, faith and wisdom. They form a mandala around the human forms, joined together to create spokes of a wheel symbolizing the oneness of all of us. 'Peace' in twenty languages circles the design. Peace begins with all of us, so may peace surround you and be who you are.

To the Chinese, a bat is a symbol of luck. On this hot summer day, just last week, a little bat flew in the room, circled it, flew to the next room, flew in our room, seemed to pause and look me in the face, and flew out the door it came in. I'm not Chinese, but I sure felt special!
Nice mandala Apache Blanca! The Korea symbol for peace is a swastika, likewise the symbol of the four winds of many aboriginal peoples. Too bad Hitler co opted the symbol for the Nazi party. Now it has negative connotations.

yeah, & svastika is a symbol of 'the moving sun' in sanskrit - only that Hitler turned it the other way round, imho meaning 'new order' (or something). But you know what, I guess people shouldn't associate the symbol, or anything, with a pervert who used it to his ends. Like, red color always existed on this planet but the Communist used it as their symbolism - well it's not red color's fault! Thinking 'red = communism' we might end up banning red traffic lights & tomatoes So what you're saying is true: some discernment is very welcome when symbolism is concerned.

Hehe nice about the lucky bat the first summer I was here in Spain I had a huge thing with... butterflies. One on occasion, I was sitting at the porch, & one butterfly came from the far end of the garden, went to me, circled around my head so closely that I could hear the flutter of its wings, and went behind the house. Then... another butterfly appeared & did exactly the same! I thought it was the first one repeating the air show but it wouldn't have the time to fly from behind the house to the back of the garden, plus, even if it could, why in the world would it be doing such a thing??? I was ready to think it was a deja-vu only that I remember both of them too clearly. Then... the third butterfly came! But it only fluttered in front of me for a few second then decided that there was no need to do anything else & went away. The first two butterflies were nearly black with white dots & the third one was white with zebra-like stripes. At least the third one was not a deja-vu...

Stranger things have happened but that was certainly a weird occurrence!

Rewon Lefpom ma Apache!!,
When I lived in Florida, there was this Bottlenosed Dolphin that decided he liked our boat, We had a 1952 Bull nosed Chris Craft Constellation that I bought for only 2,000 dollars, and repaired the minor damage to it's hull and deck up on the bow from a previous years Hurricane. Because I was already retired from the Army, and didn't need a job, we anchored it about an eighth of a mile off of a Mangrove island on the Gulf Coast. Anyway, the dolphin decided that he liked us, and every morning, he would come by, and we would throw him a few fish, and then jump over the side, and swim with him for about twenty minutes, and then he would go swim off somewhere else. This went on for two years till we moved from Florida.
