Petrov is currently a pay driver, but he deserves a second chance after holding back Alonso in Abu Dhabi.

Well Congrats to Vettel for the 2011 start & major props to Petov as well for 3rd!. I dont know if Petrov wished Kubica a shout during post-race interviews, but I think he was a lil nervous & beside himself with his race results. I'm happy 2011 season has started & hope Bahrain simmers down & Kubica will be back drivin in 2012 (give hime time to re-coup). Maybe iwe'll see Austin, TX circuit in 2012 as well?

The new season has started leaving many questions. After a strong pre-season testing, Mercedes GP and Ferrari failed to deliver at Melbourne, the first with both cars abandoning the race (but due external causes, Alguersuari breaking Schumacher's rear suspension and Rubens Barrichello destroying Nico Rosberg's right exhaust). Lotus Renault and McLaren surprised the crowd, as none of them showed pace at the pre-season testing and Red Bull seems to have build an state-of-the-art machine.

Next race in Malaysia, hopefully Mercedes will deliver as well as Ferrari and the gap between Red Bull and the front runners will be a smaller one.

I haven't been watching this season so far... kind of forgot about it really.

Also, look what I saw for this season: Those rejected F1 rule changes in full

Yes, China was worth the effort of going three consecutive nights without sleeping. But the thing I liked most was Rosberg and Schumi showing that the car has potential.

I doubt there will be a Bahrain GP, but Ecclestone is who has the last word and if the Prince of Bahrain feels like spending a few more $$$$ to make Bernie happy, then there will be a Bahrain GP, despite the expenses the teams will have to make.

Ecclestone always wants more money - there will be one if he gets enough

Yes, probably. Besides, he is trying to force a new Concorde Agreement with his terms. Teams wouldn't like F1 to be controlled by Murdoch, which is the weapon Bernie is using to achieve that.
