I have noticed recently that the amounts of personal attacks and negative comments around the forums have increased a bit. And naturally this is not something we want.

Nobody can like everyone - that's a given. But we can still show each other respect.

I need you ALL to remember - this was part of what happened at AF. Nothing was really THAT bad, but people thought so, and this made things bad for real. We all have to remember that if we ALL can keep a good feeling around here, nothing bad will ever happen.

So - in order to make this remain the friendly and compassionate place it is, the rules have been a bit enforced.

Any kind of personal attacks, or groundless attacks against another's opinions, will result in an infraction - how large the infraction is depends on what was said.

Enough infractions will result in a temporary ban (usually 3 days). An infraction can of course be appealed by sending a PM to an admin. Of course, if we can ALL show each other respect, nobody will ever have to get any infractions at all.

We might approve more moderators in the future as well, though nothing is decided yet.

I know I haven't been perfect recently... Mostly overreacting to a perceived insult in one of the debate threads... Just thought I'd add that we will all be more careful as well. Once again, I apologise for that, as I really have not been myself recently

Here's how it works:

An infraction can give you 1-10 points, and will last for 10 days (usually). When you have 10 points you get banned for 3 days. If you insult someone it usually leads to 3 points - it depends on the situation though. If you call someone a "d*cksucking f*cking idiot" it will definitely result in a 3 day ban immediately, for instance.

And as a more direct answer to your question - nothing will change appearance-wise.
